(I don’t do the RP thing much... Ok...ever... But looking at the last screenshot of my beautiful Fyros, I thought it fitting to write a short something through her eyes... )

The Last One - for now

Countless seasons have gone by since I claimed my place amongst the other refugees, following in footsteps of so many others who have come and gone before me. This world I beheld with wonder, terror, and enchantment: a world like no other.

I found myself adopted into a diverse and self-evident family that needed no explanation. I have watched many precious friends disappear. I have traveled the lands and encountered more than I could describe in ten lifetimes. I have grown from wandering the forests of the Ruins, darting between trees to evade the predators that stalked me, to creating my home in the deserts of my ancestors, nourished by an oasis of unseen abundance.

It is here where I saw the last light of this planet. Once again we are cast into darkness, hoping to reclaim our lands for a final time; to walk among the dunes and lush grasses, and swim in the cool waters. I wait in earnest to see the sun shine once more on this, our home: Atys.

I'm hoping too, I miss all the mini-politics, the friendly rivalries and all those little interactions that take place when you become a fully paid up member of the community.

ryzom is odd in the way that you really do get to know most of the people who play at some point, most people who post here I can tell you where they afk, where they hunt alot, if they dig seed and amber in FF 24/7 or whether they are usually found semi afk at madakoo.

The ppl reminded the 1st online game "Mordor" I played and the LPL community there.

I've played Ryzom from open beta till the current shutdown and can't wait till it comes back online.

Hmm... I still remember when I first met you, You were still somewhat of a newb, All the wandering we did together... Ah good times, And treking you through PR, just the two of us, You never believed we'd make it I think... But we did...

You grew alot, and became a strong Fyros, Able too look out for yourself. I was glad I could help you reach that point, And yet sad to leave. Fyros... Those are the lands I've called home for so long, It saddens me I may never see them again, accept in my memories, Never again will I be able to help a young Fyros grow strong...
