Thanks go to Eriar as well since she was the one giving the initial ips and the omph leading to the idea on how to get the other ips

fyi:
should be same under win/linux

nslookup domain [nameserver]

gives you the ip adress of domain
nameserver is optional, if not specified your standard nameserver is asked otherwise the given one

and since whois gives you 2 nameservers for ryzom.com you can do

might still not work for all to get the ip that way

Thanks zerotacg for the quick workaround!
Only the file should really be called ...\etc\hosts

And remember (I mean remember! Stick a post-it to your viewscreen ) that you made changes to the file, because as soon as Ryzom is taken over, the IP addresses are likely to change again, even if it works for the time being.

Oh, and of course there's no need to reboot your Linux box, but I guess you already knew that
