Goodbye to Jackoo

Post by dakhound »

(wheeee long winded that 10% of ppl will read)

Well folks, if I'm honest with you I think this is really the end. Now I've made so many good friends over the 3 years, people have come and people inevitebly left but my permanent companion has been Jackoba.

Jackoba probably had a normal childhood, but I prefer to beleive he was forged from sand using the heat of the desert, he was ugly enough for it. He started very innocent, he found a group of homins who called themselves Clan Omnis who had a whole bunch of great players like Fuchuan, Spriteh, Bnold, Mieksz and Aug.

From this group Jackoba learnt the ways of the desert and longed to travel further. After finding his way to the faraway Dyron and eventually a daring solo trip to Thesos Jackoba decided he wanted to go to Yrkanis. After making his will he set of through hidden source where he became deepy aquainted with torbaks and cuttlers. Eventually a bleeding and proud Jackoba rolled into Yrkanis capital of transvestites, or so it seemed at the time, eventually he learnt they were in fact just Matisans.

Eventually Clan Omnis members left and the guild dwindled to a shadow of its former self, Jackoba followed Spriteh across to The New Empire. Spriteh had fallen in love with the Matisan Therowan and she had in turn seduced him to join TnE, Jackoba took a while working out who was male and who was female in the guild but figured Spriteh's judgement was good and Therowan was a matisan female.

Jackoba's time in TnE came to a tragic end when the Kami and the Karavan forced homins to fight each other, accross a kincher filled desert homins hacked at each other and destroyed one another with mighty spells, its there where Jackoba got his first taste of homin blood and realised he was not some peace loving tryker flower child, but a warrior of the Fyros. Thus endless war would take over his mind and no longer could he stay in TnE who were worshippers of his forefathers enemy the Karavan.

Jackoba searched far and wide for a group of homins who were similar in mind and found Infinity, from the moment Jackoba joined Infinity they trained him, equipped him, taught him the ways of war. We would tolerate no Karavan in Void whch we considered home.

Eventually The Infinity Zorai members were called to battlefield afar by their grand sages, some of their members were strong enough to follow, others chose to stay and fight the perpetual war on Atys.

With The demise of Infinity Atys was overrun by unchecked Karavan, outpost after outpost fell to the Karavan Alliance in weeks and Void was lost to us. Seeing the Kami needed to strike back Jackoba Joined a guild of insane warlike homins called Kings of Oblivion. Jackoba became JackoO scourge of prime roots of any who apposed him.

Kings of Oblivion dominated Yrkanis for many months, taking the fight to the very heart of the Karavan, defending armies were crushed underfoot by the Melee Skills of Final, The pure might of Yaffle, The axe of Hunterx and magic of Tyilin.

Success in harassing the Karavan in Yrkanis and prime roots did not translate to success where it mattered, outpost after outpost fell to the might of the karavan armies. It was decided a new approach was needed and KoO split.

Unsure what to do Jackoba formed his own guild The Apostles with Tyilin, tyilin being a better talker than Jackoba brought many new members into the fold. Jackoba however didnt have the motivation to lead a guild for long enough, war was his calling and all that digging and crafting stuff was making him go soft.

Looking about himself no Kami wanted to fight anymore, at this point Spriteh told him it was useless to deny the Karavan and asked Jackoo to attend the Karavan temple. There Jack saw the glory of Jena and realised the demon kami were in fact the problem on atys. Jack dragged other homins in his guild down to the temple and forcibly pinned them to the floor to see for themselves.

Former allies were less than understanding of the conversion and inevitbly Jack met them on the field of battle. Teaming up with spriteh in SoTR Jack caused choas across atys often appearing and killing kami followers at random. Many bosses died and the Karavan walked to victory after victory almost conquering all of atys.

Feeling the need to join a larger force jack joined LoA and fought many battles alongside them, however the gravitational pull of the Guardians of Jena soon pulled jack into their army. with GoJ we took down the mightiest opponents lixie, pei, aen and sergio. Many memorable moments followed this group of homins.

Eventually Jena called many homins to depart Atys as the planet was exhausted, Jack and many others decided to stay behind to make sure the demon ma-duk did not escape and follow us. Outpost after outpost fell to the Kami with their now overwhelming numbers, little did they know it was all for nothing as Jena was slowing taking homins to the next land and all the precious materials were exhausted.

eventually Jacks time to depart came too,

cyas Jack, its been an adventure

:) I always enjoy a good roleplay story, even though its made by the 'enemy faction'.

OOC: I feel you are very correct. I cannot see any form of the game surviving in the future. Sad really.

See ya Jackoba! We never got to know each other as good as i now wish. We have fought side by side (In KoO and when you where kami aligned) and on different sides. Even tho we never talked much to eachother when we where in the same guild i realized your battleskills and other qualities and ever since ive considered you as a battlemachine of pure destruction and a friend. Ive loved you and hated you, in a RP sense. In a non-RP sense, you´re awesome :D Ive always liked your crazy comments in the forums and regionchat etc, and many times realised the brightness in your words (even tho im not english native). Swedish, as native tonque, i feel i cant express myself as i want in many situations, making me go into silence-mode all the time.

Damn, maybe my longest post ever here lol :p However, couldnt let you (and me) go, if this is the end, without some last words Jack, you have been a great part of this awesome community! Its cause of ppl like you, that ppl like me have stayed til the end. Creds to you!

Goodbye Jackoba.

You´ve become a figure on these boards I will miss.
Someone with the most appropriately chosen avatar here I know ;) :D (Just from reading these boards :p )
I´m not sure if Ryzom will fall eventually, so I´ll stay and watch,
but I am sure that Ryzom will never fall into oblivion or be forgotten.

You are taking a piece of it with you, wherever you might go.
Take care of this tiny seed, maybe one day you´ll need it to be
resurrected by wichever God you´ll choose then ;)
