Please, I ask someone with a good english (not me) to open a petition at
petitiononline
asking some good Company to come and save Ryzom, turning it in what it deserve to be: a success.
It's important to describe well what a great game Ryzom is.
After we have just to sign it and spread the word in forums.
I would do by myself, but i lack in very good english.
Let's try it!
Anyone with good english can do this?

Questo è amore, Gilga ... ma, a chi indirizziamo la petizione?
This is what I call true love, Gilga ... but, wich company are we going to involve with this petition?

Re: Anyone with good english can do this?
Plese dont inform too many companys about Ryzom and its problems.
Because in my opinion and in that of many others an Open Source Projekt like virtualcitizenship.org (former Ryzom.org) would be the best chance for Ryzom.
But they won't get the source if there are other companys outbitting them.
edit: oh, there someone faster.

Re: Anyone with good english can do this?
Ryzom is a game that ate several milions of euros in 4-5 years and not from production but by running. You seriously think a private intiative can keep the game alive, let alone develop further...

Re: Anyone with good english can do this?
I would rather see a good company with some experience and money to put into Ryzom take over and make this game what is should be.
Even thought virtualcitizenship.org would not be my first choice it's much better then no ryzom.
I have hope that Ryzom will live on and I hope we all can be part of it.

I truly hope a large company will buy the game.
Imho, PlayNC or FunCom would be the best options, maybe even Bioware.
If that petition aint made tomorow, il write it.

Re: Anyone with good english can do this?
Kom, i know that site, since last year. I have already read it. I don't believe it will work.
Just looking at this forum, do you really believe that all the players can work on a 'common' project? For how much time? I don' t believe.
Ryzom will became a toy in the hands of some people that just wanna the code.
This is just my opinion, and I can be wrong.

Re: Anyone with good english can do this?
Personally I think Xavier is honest and a lot of other people in that intiative surely are. Their good intentions have all my trust. But from being honest and running million euros projects there's a huge gap.
They would love and cherish Ryzom, for sure, but won't have the means to keep it alive or develop new content. That's not a web based game you put 20-30k euros or USD and then start making proffit. It's a harder business than most games for kids. It's a niche game that needs a patient investor expecting to get proffit in some 3-5 years from now (assuming optimistically the initial investment may be extinguished until then). Patient investor willing to wait a la long is only solid companies, not even young good companies, inertial big bucks behind them, dunno how to say this more clear.
Just my opinion based on good sense, no proffessional business knowledge, but a lot of MMO experience and reading on a regular basis papers about their evolution.
