I was roaming around the net too, but have tried almost everything.
I was a 2years AO players, but probably i lost every char there as Funcum deletes chars from non active accounts. The game is huge but the game mechanic is too old for me.
I played lotro in august (bought the box, so did 30 days), but really i don't like this clone, even if i know some ex-ryzom are already playing there.
I'm still playing CoH/CoV, but it's just a casual game, nothing comparable to Ryzom, so I wont suggest you to try it.
I would try Vanguard as it seems more like Ryzom (apart of the ecosystem, no MMO around match Ryzom), but the game seems full of cheaters and botters. Also, the mobs AI is crappy as in any MMO. Building houses sounds cool tho.
It worth a try, also if I agree about SOE, not good.
Sorry, Valda, last chaos is a crappy point and click asian game. IMHO.
I tried to build some feeling for WoW, but i simply can't play another clone, also if it is now considered the 'original', and it's not.
Unfortunately, in every MMO around you can find very cool graphic, but mostly it is without 'heart', just a graphical excercise. We will not find the 'feeling' that Atys always had, because the graphic designers, were primarily 'artists' and they have put 'heart' in it.
Next in develop games? We will see.... WAR seems just another clone, AoC could have some innovation, but it seems too 'dark' for my taste.
I just need some rest from MMO games, unless Ryzom stay alive.
But you can catch me in MMORPG.com and MMORPGITALIA.com forums. Gilgameesh always read them.
Regardless of the game you go play, have fun all, expecially in real life.
