immense ping -- what's happening?

Post by odofitzg »

I just tried logging in and have gotten ping in the 1-2K range and "pw" constantly.

It doesn't seem to be just me, since my guildies in Russia are having the same problem. Can we have a reboot or other solution, please? I have logged a support tag already.

This is on Arispotle

Leanon is on "slomo" too since yesterday. My Ping has doubled from 200 to 400-500. This is inside germany.

Same here. Ping is usually on the low side of 200, now averaging around 500 with spikes over 1K.
The only MMORPG in which you bash each other with wooden swords exclusively.

we apologise for the cross world lag, servers are currently being upgraded from an elastic band in a box to a fully fledged state of the art ZX spectrum 128k

(real answer - servers screwed but probs no-one home to re-boot them)

Ah ok, thanks heaps for the info dakhound. It's unplayable atm but it's good to know it's temporary.

Scary thing is, I actually remember when the ZX Spectrum 128k was a great machine *lol*

Hi, just went and looked in announcements and saw the stuff about GF France being in receivership (as we in the States would say). That might have something to do with the lack of personnel on the ground.

Ohwell, it did say that we weren't paying for the time being.
