Hi guys, Gillest here....

UK credit card ran out end of August and did not have time to get a replacement yet... UK to Thailand is gonna be a long walk for a poor plastic square....

Obviously I still have French CC (gonna expire soon too, really need to start thinking about that lol)... BUT:
- What I see lately is not pushing me to look into the resub page...:

* I am not talking about the OP threads, has always been like this: some fighting in forums but lot of fairplay in games...
* Cats yes and no, can be debatable.
* All games features have pro and cons but we can adapt to them (and we do)
* Not very much the bugs from last month, as I did not suffer of them as much as much
* Not the community cos I love you guys (yes, even the evil Pvpers )...

Now what may keep me outside for some time (a month, 2 months, 1 week; who knows) is GF and Marjo attitude...
I can be very patient but now I reach a point where I really think they either:
- are taking the piss...
- are no giving a damn...
- have lost hope...
- Know perfectly that this is going nowhere and are too afraid to say it...

I have asked, we have asked, they have asked (Aniro and Leanon) and only thing GF and MARJO can do is open the door slightly for one time in a month, give a sneaky "happy Birthday" and run out before anyone ask a question....

I so wish to be back but now I am on strike:
I REFUSE to pay!!
I want to tho but one has to decide when enough is enough so I will force myself to stay out until GF or Marjo can come up with some proper explaining....
I miss you all guys everyday, still watching you on forums daily.. but I am on strike...

***Pure speculations on my part***:

GF spent a LOT of money to buy this game. I dont know evidently the exact sum. But I would guess that the money they had to spend to acquire Ryzom can be comparable to the amount they got from Accel not long ago as a venture capital.

So far, the game makes only losses. They got rid of payed support (Jolt), opted for cheaper hosting in Germany. They reduced the development team. But the game is making only losses right now, Im pretty sure, even with all costs reduced to minimum.

GF is not a charity oragnisation, they have to make money, Ryzom has to not only make profit, but make so much profit as to repay the initial investment of buying it. After the last patch-crashes-patch rollback fiasco, they are very cautious now. They wont tell us anything, until they are pretty sure that the new features - fine tunings WILL work. But they are working on things.

What might be in the works? Again, pure speculations on my part: big changes to the pvp system. As soon as they are finished, they will roll out the changes, and start a massive advertisment campaign in their other games and sites.

And most certainly, CSR and Marjo are specifically banned from telling us anything of what is happening in the dev team.

Gillest and Mok ! I was wondering where you had been all that time... And No, Mokdarion, I didn't forget about you. I kept hoping, somehow, that the little light would come blue again. Not blind hope, but still a bit.

I hoped I could meet you two on the Mainland one day. Still hope it will happen, since I'm no longer on Silan. And... GameForge is GameForge. Be it GF-France or GF-Germany, their communication is also terrible on the browsergame side. Marjo is doing her best, I guess... but like many GF Admins/Community Liaison, she can't do much more than she already is doing. There's probably information that she doesn't have or can't tell us about just yet.

At least, we do have a wonderful CSR team that most probably loves us a lot, enough, in fact, to do that job for free. Can't expect much more so better enjoy the game as it is right now.
