A few general newbie questions

1) If I put items up for sale for other players, are those items only available at that particular NPC? Or, do they go into a general pool and available anywhere a player may choose to shop?

2) Is there a Buddy list to keep track of your friends online?

3) Is there a way to send a message to a players when they are off line?

4) Can I get a Packer on the newbie island?

5) Is there any way to repair broken items?

It would be cool if the original crafter could repair an item back to full strength, as long as they used materials of equal quality.

1) Kinda, items apear in the same land you sell them in. (as long as the town level is the same as or higher to your sold item(s))

2) Yep (F key - For me at least)

3) Yep, in game mail

4) Dunno, don't think so

#6 - can we return to the beginner island once we are paying customers and have left it?

No, afraid not. The only way back would be with a new character.

Since we can't come back to the newbie island after graduating, I am going to assume that there is a place to access the Ring on the mainland. Is that a correct assumption?

Looks like Jayce answered most of your questions... As to the 4th one... That is a No . Those are only availble on the mainland.
