this is why i said sell cats, currently they are the 'have and have-nots' after all there are enough cats for each player to get 35 a month. yet some get 90 a month and others (like myself) 8. with cats being sold, the have nots can catch up with the haves quite easily.

You are confusing between in game "have and have-nots" and real life "have and have-nots".

Altough i could pay with real money for something ingame, i will never do.

The only good concept of online games should be that everyone in game have the same opportunities to play the game at the best. That's why we all hate cheaters and botters (before someone start flaming i remember you that botters are not multi account users). Only koreans could invent this such system as they care only to be 'uber' at any cost, no matter how to do.

If Ryzom add real life shops for ingame stuff, i'll leave the game.

EDIT: Why many consider the record of quests in the journal so important? It would be *if* the quests were, as in other games, unique and non-repeatable, not the case of Ryzom. Also, the quests that have some meaning, are already recorded into Enciclopedya, so ask for finishing the Enciclopedya, that was a nice concept to have in-game knowledge records (with the perks, ofc).
I don't need to remember in my journal if i gave a light parcel to that NPC 2 years ago.

I'm also working on a "Ryzom 2" fun demo using NeL featuring physics engine, player interactivity with the environment, tp animations etc... which would go a lot smoother if only they co-operate, still no response here either.

Just my two dappers worth here - and my own personal opinion.

I think paying extra for anything in ryzom would be the most stupid thing gameforge could do.

Instead of *paying* to have extra things added - they can do their damn jobs and add more content - 13 euros a month is enough in my opinion. I could afford to pay a 100 euros easily if required - but that is not the point. I say about the added content - based upon all the complaints/requests made by the more veteran players in threads I have read and through conversations had in game. I for now have no problems as it is still reasonably new to me and lots to see- but can see that one day I will also want added content.

If added content would mean buying an expansion add a small cost then that would be fairenough - but paying monthly extras for content would be no more than a scam - what would be next - buying high leveled characters on e-bay like in other crappy main-line games?

I think ryzom is a bit better than that too be honest
