I get really tired of people pulling numbers out of nowhere. I can count about 20 active members of Pegasus. Are you saying that WoA has over 80 active members?

Seriously, if the KA is made up of tiny little greedy guilds with a couple of members each, then where the heck do we get the numbers to win battles?

OK, I'm clear now on the original suggestions being linked as a package. That makes more sense to me.

I really like the idea of NPCs randomly attacking OPs. In fact, I like that better than OPs as PvP at all.

PvP should have some balance to it, else it is really not much fun. I don't see any way at all for OPs to provide truly competitive PvP. As it stands it's mostly an aggravation, for everyone.

I like the concepts of GvG and even FvF, but OPs are a lousy venue for it. IMHO. I just think they are better suited to a "GvE" idea.

OTOH, faction politics (and the near-nonexistent racial politics) make tons of saga sense.

Any ideas on a meaningful, lore-consistent venue for faction or guild battles?

my main gripe is the total unfairness of 160v40 situations. this is not fun, not a challenge,not pvp. all it does is alienate 25% of the server population. it kills the game.

only once has a 160 vs 40 happened (I dont believe 160) and you lot are throwing it about like its and everyday occurance, We got owned at malmont the other day by overwhelming numbers so it happens both ways. I happen to know the GoJ attack was planned to the point of perfection, Mardock worked tirelessly to get the support needed then took the fight to the kami with good results.

gameforge, remove OPs completely.

I admit I'm starting to dislike outposts, this however smacks of "waaah I'm taking my ball home if you dont let me win", only in this case the ball isnt yours to take home



last one, if the population is so sided with the karavan, isnt it only fair the majority of the outposts are owned by us, fair distribution n all that (being sarcastic if you didnt notice)

I think we were a little less than that at the time, maybe only 12 active. Went through a quieter spell for a bit there.

So, maybe a claim of only 48 actives?

Happy to report that we've grown a bit and gotten more active lately. Some great new people keeping things fresh for us.

I believe that the GoJ attack on Whirling (March 10th, 2007) was about 120 attackers (not all KA) vs 60 defenders. That was definately the strongest KA attack in Arispotle history.

However, when Nexus attacked Malmont (May 19th, 2007), I counted 114 attackers and 67 defenders. Congrats to Nexus for organizing that victory by the way.

So, the see-saw swings both ways.


P.S. For those fans of outpost battle trivia, the Pegasus attack on Gu-qin may be the only major battle where a smaller number of attackers in both phases conquered an outpost.

indeed. i hate op battles and wasnt going to go to them anymore. but due to recent events im actually going to fight in them. it'd be nice if there was something better event wise.

It is interesting you would call it the KA's crusade. Brave, whether she likes it or not, has created another faction or alliance. However, this group of players is hiding behind the false illusion that they are untouchable and can do whatever they want.

The apparent argument is is that they can attack but should never have to defend. They should be left alone because they share their mats with themselves, like any alliance or guild, they pool their common resources and distribute them amongst themselves.

I have heard alot of comments about why is the KA not helping her. If those who are receiving aid do not believe in the program enough to help, why should those of us who see the size and scope of this project as a negative for the overall game assisst.

Could the community OP project actually be interfering with the ability for new guilds to become independent and viable? Why should players make the difficult transitions of getting along and forming guilds if they get the benefits for accepting handouts?

I think it would be best not to change the existing mechanics but to add something new.
