Something I would like to see (take it as a challenge)

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

Since I am relatively new around here (3 months), I thought lvl 50 was a good idea. But if you say its too easy, then ok guys, go for 100 but remember, have lvl 1 for all the 3 other skills you won't use.

Maybe this would be a good way for new or almost new players to learn to use a skill tree efficiently ?

Starting at lvl 0 for Const 1

Fight 0,5,10,15 ....so every 5 lvls , finishing at Const 50 (2700)

Magic is 0,10,20,30 ....so every 10 lvls , finishing at Const 26 (1500)

Harvest is 0,7,15,22 ....so every 7.5 lvls , finishing at Const 34 (1900)

Craft is 0,20,40,60 ....so every 20 lvls , finishing at Const 13 (850)

I wanted to be a pure Dig/Craft Char but ive been corrupted by Magic , I get higher Resists from that Branch :/

Well I had restarted my harvester-only char to be harvestring only. I left Silan right from the start but found out sadly, that harvesting Q50 nodes on Lakeland with a lower HHH sometimes winded up in with node explosions in my face with 200+ damage points where my HP is like 200-250 only. Got killed 3 times in a row.

Had to either dig with a HHG and never use any HHH or level up on health.

Still thinking about doing a full 3d rendering of Fyros (call it Ryzom 3.0 if you like).

I've started a new character. A bare hand fighter only.

I have also a magician only, a harvester only (I although I am thinking of restarting it again as I started fighting XP just to get health upgrades) and a crafter only (haven't played him yet but I think he is going to be the most difficult as I will have to either get another skill to get mats or team up with someone else to get mats, haven't decided yet).

Bare hands is interesting... Dual Wield is different and has more flexibility for ya too. Until the skills trees split you can decide if your a monk or not :P

One of the things that make Ryzom different from other MMOs is the fact you are free to specialize in all skills. This comes at a price, namely you HAVE to specialize in at least a few skills to be able to progress.
I dont understand why try do something that is so contrary to the game system....even as a challenge....it is so non-Ryzom that i dont find the idea very attractive. Maybe because i played many other MMOs where you are basically forced to play the way you are suggesting :P

Well I haven't played any other MMOs. I used to be an FPS shooter gamer.

Also, I tend to not do as what the majority of people are doing. Might be the main reason perhaps.

In any case, the one-skill trip I am taking is only for my other playing characters. My main playing char is the oposite. I am trying to get ALL skills for that one. But then again, that might be different then what most people do ... (there I go again, doing differently then others !). I guess I'm finding it more challenging doing all this my way, especialy since I am alone, in my own one-player guild.

Playing alone is a wonderful experience in Ryzom, very challenging but very rewarding :)
