In a thread where I was asking astronamical/celestial questions about Atys, I realized something.
When playing the game, at Atys night time, we see this big Saturn like planet in the sky. Since this planet look so big we would assume that we are orbiting it. Then if we are, should this planet get between us and the Sun ?
So if we do get that planet between us and the Sun, we should get an eclipse, right ?
The question is, how long would that eclipse last and what would happen during that time ?
That's where my idea of an event would come.
What if that eclipse would bring great cahos, misfortune, disasters or anything similar to Atys ?
What if that eclipse is feard by all and comes every 1000 years or so ?
Usualy, through history, eclipse are regarded as bringer of somekind of disasters.
So why not do an event based on this ?
What would happen during this time and for how long ?
All mobs go bezerk and attack all homins ?
Any suggestions on what would happen ?

OOC: As you might have ralized, it may well just be a Offgame Gamemechanic, the Sun does neither set or rise.
It just dims and goes back to full, abd it seems to be stationary in the sky...
A geostationary orbit?
Its been discussed a million times too before, with all kinds of explanations and ideas.
But if this is the case, then there´s no way for the Ringed Planet to eclipse the sun. It´d have to be farther away than the sun for the Star to bring light and warmth...
Its very confusing all in all and we may never know the truth behind it.
Anyway, a "Pitch Black" like Szenario would nevertheless be a nice Idea for some variant Invasion fun.
We need a new Invasion anyway soon!!!!
