Four Lands

Post by twina »

Dear Homins, I as many or most of you hace access to the four lands of Atys - Tryker, Matis, Zoria and Fyros.

However, I am aware that many newcomers and even some not-so-new Homins that are on MainLand, do not have the four capital TP´s - Yrk, Fairhaven, Pyr and Zora.

I know this has been done many times in the past, but I was thinking a community tour of Atys would be good fun and allow newcomers the access to Atys - and enjoy a tour and see the variety of mobs. Therefore I was thinking to arrange and organise a world tour for next week - if the response here is positive.

I was thinking of:

a)Friday 3rd around 5pm GMT

or

b)Saturday 4th around 4/5pm GMT

Those that are on different time zones to Europe such as the United States - well we could get something sorted for those that cant make it to the times I have suggested.

ALL people and ALL guilds would be welcome - putting aside faction politics and making it a real community event. After the trek we could always goto Matis Arena and have a bit of PvP - just for a bit of light fun.

Well I am low level and still very new here - this is coming to the end of my fourth week. So I would realy need some good tankers, healers, ele´s and guides. As Frodo would say in Lord of the Rings "I will lead, but I know not the way.......pssst Gandalf - left or right?"!!!.

Any suggestions on where to start Fyros, Matis etc would be welcomed - and any suggestions - comments and opinions - all will be great - negative and positive.

If there is a general positive attitude to this post then I will be willing to take the time and opportunity to help out and organise this event.

The only condition to this tour would be one thing - that we ALL get along and have FUN!!!!!

Takecare folks and please leave your opinions here - even if you think this not a good idea :)

Hmm the problem with this is that LARGE treks is that they are very stressful to those that are tanking or nuking... you get people that fall behind or just hesitate. Then there are some older players that are very nuke happy on treks and this also can cause problems....

So myself i will avoid such treks but if anyone is in the need of assistance they can contact me. All i ask thou is that the person needing the trek have tired it on their own at least once. Reason for that is there so much to be learned in the game and best way to do it is by solo treking.

I love treks. I really do. Sometime I want to do a walking trek, no running allowed except running for your life...

My experience has been, though, that large groups make treks harder, not easier.

But here's a weird thought - what if we collaborated to keep some of the more difficult passages open for a given time period, and let "younger" homins stroll through. Or maybe just hang out and provide escorts through the killer bits.

They would still get the benefit of sneaking and navigating through the more moderate areas, but wouldn't necessarily be utterly prevented from crossing, say, Loria.

I know, it is possible - barely - to sneak through on your own - accumulating plenty of DP along the way. Honestly, though, I've tried several times and just give up in frustration, as I simply don't have the time to keep getting eaten repeatedly. And I'm not totally helpless any more. (I think)

Maybe not feasible given the current population, but maybe the idea will spark other ideas.
