Patch 632/633: Help needed on ATS

Since patch 632/633, we are having stability issues. As a result, we need to retro patch the game servers to patch 620.

However there are a few changes since the patch that may have some unknown impact on your characters. To test the retro patching effects, we've patched the ATS this morning to reproduce live conditions.

This is where we need your help: anyone who can test on the ATS is welcome to patch his ATS client now. Come to Klients for more information.

Depending on the result of those tests on ATS, we might have to roll back your characters saves to Monday morning before the patch. We are doing everything we can to avoid that. The more help we'll have on ATS, the better it will be.

Update:

All live characters have currently been copied to ATS servers (guild membership has not been copied). Please log in to ensure they are your latest characters and are on ATS2.

Some time soon, the ATS will be taken down for a retropatch - after this you should log back in and pay special attention to checking the following if you can:
- Sap crystal stacks
- Compass changes
- Two stat upgrades did not previously upgrade your stats - this was fixed in patch 633
- New first steps on Silan (ie if you are in these steps at the moment, check to see your status after the retropatch)

*sigh* okay this is gonna get ugly it looks like

in spite of all my bitter comments earlier throughout this month - i want to make it clear to all the new(er) players..

this is NOT normal - there's always a kink or two but having this much is very uncommon (for ryzom)

don't get discouraged about the rollback, don't get discouraged about the server stabilites, and please please bear with the Ryzom Team and GameForge while they do what they can to fix it.

if we do need a rollback - its really NOT all that bad - don't let it get you down!!

on another note, i havent used my ATS in ages.. don't think i even have an ATS on my computer since recent format.. (how do i go about getting that again?) i'll try to login TONIGHT (eastern time zone) and check my characters out - askin everyone to do the same.

lets get this stability problem fixed folks.

Update:

The ATS has now been retro-patched - you will note that all features added by the latest patch are no longer present. If you can, please log in now to help us test, especially the four items mentioned in the above post. You will need to rename your save folder to access the ATS. Don't delete it as we should be able to reuse it. If you find an issue please send a /tell to a CSR (no need for (CSR) after their name now ) or tell us in klients.

Once we have collected enough data we will make a decision regarding whether to rollback or not, and will keep you informed throughout the process.
