You can do whatever you want. Best thing is, if you get fed up of meleeing a lot, you can do magic. If you need a break from either of these, take a trade. There is no way that it can gimp you, just make you stronger. It most certainly will not leave you short.
Of course for those people who don't want to do trade, there will be player crafted stuff available on the npcs after patch 1. (Can't wait for patch 1 myself)
Can I realistically craft, harvest and fight?

aha I see what you mean. I don't think it will gimp you because there are some things you just won't want or need to buy anyways. I usually read the guides on these forums and get a general feel of what people find useful and what they don't and use that to my advantage.Unregistered wrote:Hi Shazzy,
Thanks for the reply.
I know that I can do whatever I want but I also know that does have detrimental affects on your advancement pace in other areas.
For example, if I wanted to use magic I'd need 50SP from another school to take acid bolt (if I had no magic starter packs) and this in turn means 50 points from that school that I won't be spending in said school.
That is the angle I'm coming from.
I know it won't "gimp" me in the strictest sense though, but that's not my question.
