Account Transfer

Post by lawrence »

Please choose your community carefully during the registration process. Once you've made your choice, you will be assigned to the community you selected. We cannot transfer, copy or move accounts to different communities.

You are able to choose between:
- NA (North-American community)
- EE (European-english community)
- DE (German community)
- FR (French community)

Some of you asked if you would still be able to play the game in your local language (french or german), if you chose to join the EE community by accident. The answer is: Yes, you can. An option in the game allows you to switch the game language to either english, french or german.

You may however not receive customer service in your local language, and you will be playing on a foreign-language server. Again, please think carefully about which community you'd like to join. Your decision is final.

When I registered today, the North American option was greyed out. Is it because the launch hasn't officially occured there or because I bought my game in France?

Unsure of what to do and requiring a registration to post here, I selected Euro - English. Most of my friends will be playing on the American server though. Will there be any way to go join the American server once it goes up?

The NA server is greyed out because as you rightly said, it isnt launched yet. I do not believe there is a way to transfer between servers once you have chosen one.

Argh! I hope there will be a way to accommodate this for the few Europeans who erroneously activated before the US servers went livebut would like to play there. A big part of the Ryzom attraction will indeed be to be able to play with my regular friends.

Note that I'm not talking about a character transfer but simply the possibility to switch to those servers so I can create a char there. Maybe a simple reset of my server choice?

I certainly don't mind if it takes a while to sort out but I hope there will be something.

Best regards,
Wendy

Actually, since one can not view these forums before he has chosen a community, I think it would be fair to allow (must be technically feasible) the players that were "forced" to select a community, to switch it to another one...

Lawrence,

Now that the US server is open, would you have any recommendation on who to contact if I wanted to test the waters on resetting my community choice (ie no need for a character transfer) to go join my friends there?

Many thanks,
Wendy

Hi all :)

please, Lawrence... tell me that in the future it will be possible to switch the server (also beginning a new char) without having to buy a new copy of the game...

pleeeeeeeeaaaaseeeeeeeeeee....

do that for my heart, so my french girlfriend will be able to play with me in the european server.
I think I'm begging now :p

No worries Senin, switching communities will be possible at some point, as previously stated in the news on ryzom.com.

Lawrence,

I hate to keep bothering you on this but since my being able to play with them is quite a big factor in said American friends actually purchasing the game, do you have any rought timeframe? Will I be able to simply reset that server choice before they could theoretically have reached level 250? ;)
