New and Old Mistakes

For what it's worth, I'm not pleased with progress either. Neither are most of my friends here.

I like and warmly welcome bug fixes and improvments as much as the next person, but no, it's not content.
To be quite brutal, the only real content in 3 years was EP2 and is outposts. Plus the odd raid here and there.
But the only one of those things thats still around is OPs. Thats pretty sad really.

My flame still burns for Ryzom, but it is dim and like DT I don't hold much hope anymore. Friends brought me to Ryzom, friends keep me in Ryzom. Thats why I'm still here.

When GF took over I was hopeful things would improve. We were all willing to give them time, things don't happen overnight. However, what have we gotten? a wheel... whoopie!

If you've not noticed, lots of people here have been around quite some time now and wonderful as the game is at the moment what seems like a 2 year gap in real development and expansion is going to cause problems in keeping people entertained.
Granted this wasn't GF's doing but eventually people arn't going to buy 'Well we need to cut back and start making a profit' anymore when they realise 'Oh, hang on, that really isn't my problem, I could be paying the exact same price for a game with 10X more content'.

This should all of been taken in to consideration before purchase. If you've not got the resources to follow through then, doh! Tell us now so we can all save ourselves some time.

Otherwise, crack some whips and drop the dips. Something new, good and permanent before the end of the year would be wonderful!

There is a such a game, not another "D&D clone" with the same quality of community and customer service representation we have here, and all the freedom we have? If I ever do find such a thing I might be tempted to pack it in here, but so far the only one I have heard of was Earth and Beyond and it was closed before i could even try it :/

I do agree we need more development - not just content in the sense of new, shiny stuff, but development of the original concepts that the game was founded on... the stuff that was "on the box" when we pre-order customers and beta testers bought it, the concept of a storyline supported by rich and complex lore-based events... encyclopedia entries, rites, tribal fame, guild missions, that kind of thing.

Bring the homin-eater Ma-Duk and the enslaver Jena-duk out of hiding. someone PLEASE help Ma-duk find his lost bib, and get all the pretty women of Atys to help Mistress Jena do her hair and pick out her purse.

now, while delegation 1 goes out into the Prime Roots to find his majesty (and his bib) , delegation 2 is going out to rescue her grace from the salon (and make a quick stop to buy her a shiny purse to go with her new yubo-fat lipstick), and a third delegation starts digging around the bottom of the Cliffs in Verdant Heights (least this is my best guess as to where to look) to find out where the poor Dragon got stuck on his way up to destroy the world.

a few idiot fyros (i'd be happy to help!) will kick the Dragon a few times and get him -really- angry (whooo!) , the Zorai will lead Ma-Duk to the homins of Atys (and his lunch) , the matis will find Jena and lead her to glory (and hand her the chains to enslave us all) while the Tryker sneak in and steal all of our goods while we're all busy (damn little sneaky *******!)

--hows that for content? Everyone's dream! pure RP mixed with pure PvP and Content and a million-bajillion reasons to come back and find out whats gonna happen next!!

what many people here have already pointed at, the only reason i still play the game is enforced 'content' on my part and more importantly, the Community.

i've been playing for a long long time, and still have _no_ 250s.. why? it keeps goals for me that i have not reached, and i'm not "done" yet, in any way shape or form.

i love you guies \o/ the community is amazing and many friends i've made here, i simply can't leave that easy ( i know.. i tried )

but, honestly dunno how long that will keep me around, the idea of games where useful things -actually happen- are beginning to sound yummy, but so long as they are games with "l33t" communities, i won't be signing up to play....

As much as I like the revamps, updates and so on, I have to agree fully with all of the above....

What is in the pipe? What has always been: titles, 1h weap stats and so on...
Nothing new here, was announced between release and GF take over.

So what did GF brought now that was not annouced before?

Now, the most recurrent problem, always was and is still here: communication.....
During CS chat on Klients a week or 2 agos we were suppose to have Q&A sent by French player: was just needed translation...
Anyone seen it?

If they need a french/english translator, send it to me, I'll translate for free in less than 2 hours..

Maybe GF have never seen the box, one of the Nevrax guys should let them take a look.

Maybe somones got a vid of EP2 they could mail them or the bounty beach event.

Show them where the ring terminals are?

Its not just new and originally promised content or tweaks, but even a re-hash of old things we know work that are not being used.

We do understand your point of view, believe me. What can I say? You will have some bits of answers in the Q&A (it wasn't just "needing translation" when I talked about it in the CS chat, I was fetching answers - and I'm now preparing them to be translated, removing frenglish and other horrors from it). I'd only like to ask you not to expect too many "yes" or ETA in the answers though.

I guess whats worrying alot of people is will the game just be polished and tweaked abit then left to run.

"There's your game, thats what you get, play that and like it or move on" like a browser game.

or will it be driven forward as a living mmorpg, maybe the original Nevrax dream was a step to far but alot of us would really like to see at least a stumble forward.

We waited on events like the BB one, we waited on EP2, we waited on the ring and omg how long we waited on outposts but Nevrax did deliver.

Cmon GF you stood up now its time to be counted.
