Character Problems

Hi i just purchased the game today and had no problems with it at all until i came to the character selection screen where it asked me to create char and once i clicked the button and pop-up came up telling me i had a Access Violation problem ?????? Is there any solutions u guys know that could help me out would be great thnx.

if continuous, i'd suggest re-install.....failing that ask one of the CSR

I am also having a character problem, i posted in the wrong forum, my problem is that when i create a character and play its fine, but when i logg on again the character has been deleted. Also once i try to create a new char with the same name it says name invalid. This is really annoying

Have the same problem. Started up today. Logged out before the patch.
When i logs in after the patch the chars are gone. Not so big issue since i just started, except i cant restarte the chars with the same names.

Added:
I could remake the characters afther a while.
But I am a bit nervuose if the "save intervals" are so far between and not even a "forced save" when login out propperly.

Which really sucks. I've got a week off this week, and I do want to try this game to give it a chance. But it took me over a week to get the game, and then when I log in today, I find any chars I create deleted--but the name still used up.

If this isn't fixed soon, so I can play during my week off, I probably won't bother with the game, and go back to Horizons.

So, Devs? Word on this? Fix incoming? Something? Cuz the game's not playable for me this way.

Still not possible to delete a character and immediately create a new one with the name of the one just deleted.

I imagine names being flagged as used in the database.
Either the corresponding table in the database does not store what account used the name or the character creation's business logic does not check if the flagged name was used by the same account.

I haven't been in beta and am currently still trying things out. That is, I create a char, do a few things, find it doesn't suit what i want, log out and delete the character.
I am running out of names and some of them are names that are rather dear to me having used them in several other mmorpgs.

I would really like to see Nevrax fix this error.

Welcome to ryzom,

When you come to create a character there are lots of ? marks, just click one and then in the bottomt right press the "create" button. Then just follow the on screen instructions.
