The bar was once more filled with rowdy Fyrosians, laughter, smoke and the smell of ale and roasted meat. The barman behind the counter seemed to have a hard time keeping up with the orders coming in. The dayshift was over and these miners sure had an appetite for drinks and food after a hard day's work. Sitting around a table near the counter, over a few mugs of beer, a couple of miners were sharing the latest gossip.

- 'I'm telling you Kurgan, it is true. My nephew will tell you the same; he has it from the bark sculptor's cousin who is married to the Overseer at the Pyr Forge.'
- 'By the Dragon's wrath, you are pulling my leg here aren't you?'
The rest of the company tried to hide their smiling and laughing behind their mugs.

- 'On Cerakos' burned remains Kurgan. Why would my nephew have any reason to lie?'
Kurgan took a long swig from his beer, then used his forearm to wipe away the foam from his lips.
- 'You aren't fooling me Apox. There is no way a Tryker would be capable of such feats. Tell your tale again, at least you're entertaining us.'

Apox sighed and started over.
- 'It happened a moon ago in Thesos. A Tryker traveller arived with his scrawny mektoub mount. He had made his way there all on his own from Aeden Aqueous. He carried little possesions, so he couldn't have been a water merchant. Just black tattered clothes with a hood, all covered with desertdust, and a funny looking pistol on his hip.'
Apox took a sip from his mug and then continued.
- 'Now i'm not sure if you have heard of the Dunton brothers? They're a burly bunch of Thesos' locals, not afraid to get rowdy now and then. Well they were minding their own business around one of the merchant stalls till they spotted the traveller. Perhaps they had been dipping too much in the firewine, who knows, but they started to stare at the Tryker and the sight made the laugh.'

Apox takes another pause and another sip from his beer.

- 'Upon hearing the laughter the stranger turned his attention to the Dunton brothers and slowly headed in their direction, stopping a few paces away from them and spat on the ground. That stopped the brothers' laugh but then he started to talk: 'I dun think it's nice, ya'll laughin'. Ya see, me 'toub dun like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea ya're laughin' at 'im. Now if ya apologize, like I know ya're goin' to, I might convince 'im that ya really didn't mean it.' Next thing you know it there's pistol fire and four brothers face down in the sand. They didn't even have a chance.'

All the Fyros in the bar roared in laughter at Apox' story by now while a small figure made it's way to the counter through the Fyros crowd. The barman leaned over clutching a dirty rag in his hand, still laughing and asked: 'What will it be shortstuff?'

The laughter suddenly died out and an eerie silence filled the bar instead. The figure spat on the ground.
- 'A rum fer me an' a bucket fer me 'toub. I'm here fer biss.'
The Tryker grinned.

A tiered elimination tournament where gunslinger from all over our New Lands get to compete against each other, test their skills and get a chance at fame and prestige.
The last man standing gets to walk away with fabulous prizes and the respect of their peers.


Any Homin owning a pistol and some ammunition may participate.
Registration is required (closing July 6th).
Entry fee: 100,000 Dappers.
Location: Aeden Aqueous (exact location: undiclosed)

The Red Ribbon Army cannot be held responsible for any permanent injuries, stray bullets, mektoub hustling or loss of pride.

/OOC:

Rules of the tournament:
- You bring your own gear; that includes pistol, clothing and especially ammunition.
- For now both pistol and bowpistol are allowed.
- Light armor, medium armor or a combination of both are allowed. No heavy armor or NPC armor allowed.
Event armor is allowed if it doesn't break previous rules.
- Opponents will be asked to team with a referee.
- During combat you are not allowed to use any Self-heal, Aura or Power.
- No weapon enchantments allowed.
- Fights last till an opponent hits the ground.
- No on but the referees heal.

While gunslinging is not my own personal strong suit, and therefor having a survival urge of some sort I will not be entering, I would very much like to attend as a spectator. Will the location be announced with enough lead time to swim there? And need I purchase some sort of ticket?
