Group Tactics

Post by ixils »

Where to begin.....

Other worlds have had the cookie cutter roles... healer... crowd controller... tank.. nuker...

Here it seems that everyone is so individual and can be one thing at one time and another thing a second time.

Don't get me wrong. I love the fact that things are sooooo different. But I am wondering if you have time to share your favorite ways of dealing with the mob rush of the healers... etc.

thanks.

If we have enough people at high enough level, we seem to be able to take out pretty much anything with negligable damage when there are 3-4 Healer/Blinders, and a similar number of fighters. Works great in Prime Roots against Great Kinchers, but not so good against Terrifying Tyranchas because they're persistant lil' things :|

-Melee'ers keep together, this makes healing alot easier as the bombs (area heals) dont have that big range
-TAUNT for christs sake ! All this solo nonsense have made people poor teamers, i hardly ever see anyone taunt to keep the mobs of the healers/nukers, thank god i leveled my melee to 75 before i started going up the heal path
-1 person (melee) should be designated tank, he should wear heavy armor, and preferably a shield. He taunts whenever he doesnt have aggro any more (easy to see as the mob stops "eyeballing" you)
-The melee'ers that arent the tank should take off their armor and spam increased dmg or whatever special attack they fancy. Taking off armor reduces the cost for special attacks ALOT, and saves the healer from having to not only heal the tank constantly, but also keep everyones stamina up
-If you get adds, each melee'er should concentrate on 1 add, while the rest all concentrates on the same one
-Pull at least 30 metres in social mob zones, the social mobs can wander quite far to come and have a look at you and if they see you smacking one of their companions they will join in the battle

Thats all i can think of at the moment :)
