Meet The Fokkers (Fyros)

Post by vguerin »

Melinoe will be hosting a "Meet the Fokkers" (Fyros) event on Friday 29 Oct @ 1900 EST. We will meet at the Yrkanis main gate and we will escort ANYONE from Yrkanis to the Knoll of Dissent spawn, then begin our journey to Pyr. We will have a 10 minute bio/shopping break in Thesos then we will roll out to pick up the teleport ticket and cross over to Pyr.

All we ask if that you have a return ticket to Yrkanis and enough dappers to pick up teleport tickets along the way. If you don't, I will hook you up... You must be ready to roll with the group so as not to have many fellow adventurors waiting on you and you are expected to follow your group leader's path and instructions.

I hear they have good beer 8)

Not that I think any would do this, but how are you determining someone's skill? Taking their word for it? And what of those with mixed skills? For instance, a high level mage who would like a nice sword to work on their neglected melee with......

That being said, I do applaud the events and hope they turn out well. Would that I could journy to the desert from the jungles I would surely attend.

no enchantments? :(

other thing is, you might want to narrow down the mano a mano class ranges. a lvl 50 fighting a lvl 99 would be... entertaining i guess.

13k per ticket - it's actually 12+ but I can't remember the exact amount. Oh and if you can't easily get a ticket from the Kami (something to do with faction), look up at the Kami whirling symbol (page up) and Ctrl + space to target it and then opposite click to get the dialog box to buy the ticket.

Traveling from Avendale to Pyr, I bought a ticket in Avendale, there was a Karavan opportunity in Falling (?) Garden in Matis, but I hadn't brought enough dapper, so missed that one, (another good one to buy is Natae) then bought one in Thesos in Fryos, (thanks Kali) and then got a ticket in Pyr.

Not counting the one where you start, save up for at least 2 for each land. Three would be even better. It depends on your faction where you will get spawn points in a particular land.

We plan to keep the trees the same as mentioned for the melee competition due to time constraints and cost of making good weapons. We cannot do a 25 tree competition. Let alone afford the mats to craft that many prizes. We are but one guild and I one crafter.

So as stands the competition is as follows:

0-50 Q60 Burning Sword
50-100 Q110 Living Sword
100+ Q160 Living Pike

As for being able to tell what level you are we have our ways. Skills used can be verified being I can always make the max dmg weapon of the level and test to verify and know for sure what kind a dmg you are doing. Otherwise this is an honor system event.

Personally if I were to compete I would be after the best reward for the tourny so quite frankly I would not be after a reward that was much lower than my current level. This is what should help to keep this event organized and at the proper levels.

Hope this information helps, and hope to see you there,

Wylkroe
