that still doesn't answer my question
if my jewel set wore out, and became unusable and, those X's appeared, what am I supposed to do with them if I can't destroy them ? chuck them in appt ? if there is no way whatsoever to get rid of your junk, the only alternative is to recycle it. Meaning that if you want the destroy option to be removed, then you'll have to implement a repair option. What do you crafters think eh ?
(btw, that npc standing next to the ones that give out OP plans.. apparently he repairs stuff for a high price, but it seems u can't interact with him whatsoever)
ps : what's wrong with the destroy option anyway ? if u accidently click on it a warning window appears in the middle of the screen to confirm the item destruction. the destroy option is there to get rid of useless/unusable items.
That's like wanting to get rid of your dustbin because you don't want to "accidently" chuck smthg valuable in it ?

They just don't want it on the hands bar where it gets in the way of trying to quickly switch between sword and amps in the middle of combat.
Which I understand to some extent, but the right/left click difference and confirmation windows seemed sufficient protection to me.

Re: To the Devs:The destroy option!??
I think he was suggesting that to destroy them you would have to find them in your inventory... not a difficult task, I'm sure.
What he wants removed is the "destroy" option you get on an item when you are switching items using the toolbar. To prevent accidents. Not a bad idea at all, imho, not to prevent accidents, but because it would remove a click when I want to see the info on different items...
I'm sure it wouldn't be a hard task to change the codes so a right click on the "hands" in your toolbar automatically brings up the info on an item, not the little menu you would get if you right click it in your inventory. But then, I don't know the first thing about programming.

thanks to all for your responses.
I am still new to the game and feeling it out.
Yes I did see that a "are you sure" type of window pops up. I guess I felt that the destroy option should not be in the combat bar. Or if its a good idea to have it there maybe have it greyed out during combat. Just for the simple reason that combat is fast and its one less thing to be aware of. Or if you click destroy and then have to clich the [NO] box takes time. In a game that every second counts (and you have to wait for it to equip any way) I just was wondering what the reason would be.
Everything that was said sounds for good reasons. I still dont like the option but hay if thats all I can complain about so far this game is pretty good.!

Re: To the Devs:The destroy option!??
I would like to have an "are you sure ?" box for deleting actions from the taskbar.
To manage space, I have one main dig action set up, and edit it for material type as required (also the prospect actions), and also when changing terrains.
So I regularly edit the action(s), and delete is a mere slip away from edit.
I know you dont actually lose any stanzas etc, but having to rebuild from scratch is a nuisance, and shouldnt be necessary.
When you think about it, you have to OK your edits for them to take effect.. so delete is the only irrevocable single-click action.
bit silly dont you think ?

Now adding a secondary warning window to the delete option I can fully understand! It is a PITA when editing stanzas and you bump that by accident!
