I won't say any more because everything has been said.
all the Kamist are saints :) - except Sunce lol

but more seriously, neither "Kara" or "kami" are perfect good or evil.

blaming "the karavan" is very predjudice - there are plenty of nice players who just happen to have chosen to play the game as Karaneers - or Kamists.

theres also some players who leave themselves open to being viewed by others as being of a lower calibre than one might hope. such players probably exist on all "sides"

Going by the ceremony that has just passed, not a single mishap (besides a nuke or 2 involving sunce - of course ;) ) and i found the entire event very joyous and happy =)

theres probably a point in there somewhere.. i hope someone finds it xD

peace all =)
DOOMSDAY CAME =( =(

heh yeah i missed that in the original post :) well spotted

A little before the merge I was getting a little annoyed at this sort of attitude which seemed sadly to be displayed by some of the cho players.
then the merge happened, and ive spent a little time with them.
one commented:
"wow I can't believe how nice aris people are - not what we were led to believe"
(might be slightly paraphrasing - my memory is rubbish)
Which kind of made me think that actually its just one or two players from cho that have some issues - which may have influenced some of the community slightly. But in fact almost all of them are great - and I think the ones that did get a wrong impression of us from the bitter words of people like this by now have seen that actually those words are lies - or massive over exagerations.
Like a few people on aris, those few are generally best ignored. lets just let this one die - if he or anyone else is unpleasant for too long on the forums they will simply get removed - no point us getting all worked up over someone simply too stuck in their own narrow world to see outside it.

LOL MJ ;)

The event was great fun, and as said all ready, it went really smoothly.

I hope those Cho players, that where given negative information about us, had a great time last night, and now see that we are not all bad...just one or two of us hehe

Pyrrah, should really get my sig sorted ;)

I've been quite reluctant to reveal my in-game name up till now as forum posts sometimes get mis-interpreted.
not often, but once or maybe twice something i have said has been taken a way other than how i have meant it, upsetting some people.
I am re-considering my position, but until then I am going to remain nameless.
I am aware this will come across as cowardice to many and for that I apologise. However bitter experience has shown the destructive potential of people mis-reading posts of mine and others on other forums (non-ryzom forums) and its really a case of once bitten, twice shy.

MJ if its any comfort to you I dont often say anything in uni, and tend to keep myself to kami and guild chats so you shouldnt need to ignore me.

I like many of the non-ari playing Choians, through this forum and certain players whome I know (which will remain anonymous as I have only known billie for 2 weeks now), was lead to believe that Aris was not a fun place to play this game. Though I have come to find that this is very wrong, as I have made many friends through the Kamis and found many helpful people through my short time on Aris. So yes there are a lot of misinterpritations and misrepresentations that were on cho for those of us who never played on Aris. As far as OPs are concerned I could really care less, yes it was a hard nock to us on Cho but so what we will then just have to try for one.

Keiko, sweety, I have to say that I am another pleasantly surprised Choian who is happy with the move. Though I most likely will not use that ugly title :p .

I was joking about ignoring, there is non on my ignore list. I am not ignoring people, no matter how much i dont like them. What i wanted to say is that i like to know to whom i talk. Especially when people like billie1 talking nonsenses.

No argument with most of the post, but this one did hit a small nerve.

The standard which I have always used and believed to be in accordance witht he ToS was no "kill stealing". If a team had engaged a boss, I consider it bad form to enter the fray afterwards with the original team at a disadvanatge. This was always the "way of the world" with the established players going back to even pre FBT days.

Kiroyka is probably the most desired boss and a couple of months back I had a few "Void N00bs" up there and as luck would have it he popped while we were on the jabs next door. Our team near wiped 5 or 6 times before we knocked him off and though word got out and the "kiroyka tp" was popping homins like jiffypop, none engaged and let us work our way thru the kill. We took some good natured ribbing for the near wipes as most in team were fighting a "real" boss for the first time, but the 20 or so peeps did what I have come to expect from the Ryzom community and gave us "our shot".

A month later 3 of us were on ocyx boss when our healer backed away from the fray too much and attracted the blue monkeys at the same time that 3 or 4 minions decided to visit. We went down and another team came in, left our dead bods rotting, and jumped the boss. They wiped in seconds.

Luckily we had guildie in thesos who ran out and rez'd us and, tho I was darn tempted, we didn't leave the other team to rot as they did to us.

Back to kiroyka, our 2nd shot at him in 4-5 months . We had whole team assembled with one or two other peeps arriving as we engaged. TP started popping players again and they all jumped in late. While we had a melee and healers in team, the new team all went ele. Stood next to our mages and grabbed our bomb heals and of course needed no tanks to keep mob off them as they used ours. With all on ele, tho we started first, they were able to lay more damage and got loot.

This is "competition" ? To me the word includes the concept of sportsmanship, courtesy and fair play which were not exhibited in 2 of the 3 examples above. Of late I am seeing somewhat less of that and that is disappointing. I also play the game with my kids and this is behavior I'd rather them not emulate.

/bows to rayvn and non only the kami I hope..

Very nice words, looking forward to have the pleasure to give you a res whenever our paths cross...

As from killstealing and other bad behaviours, as someone said: this is not the way we play on Ari i am sure of it.
A old say tho: everytime one person is added to any grp, the overall IQ is divided by two.
So yes, more ppl, more risks of a bad encounter but pls do report to GM's, do report to your friends, do report so that doesn't happen: I am not talking about CHO or Ari or whatsoever: we all players of ryzozm love this game for what it is: cooperation and helpfulness (outisde of OP battles).

We can all together make sure it stays this way..
(apparently are someppl around that do not play fair.. you are very lucky that the grp you aggro pulled this week-end and then mocked was nice enough not to give name or guild name... In anycase, if I see it, I will blame and shame... then if u want revenge: i am in PR)
