On the advice of a programmer, I did something close to this. I actually swapped them. Since there's always the possibility that the socket is the problem, I pulled them, changed them around, and put them in different slots.ajsuk wrote:Sounds posible, you're likely running two in parallel, right? I started with them in slots 1 and 3 (because of the head spreaders). I put the RAM that was in slot 3 in slot 2 and the RAM from slot one in slot 3.
So far it seems to have worked.
