Loading todays patch should resolve your issue. since you are having the crashes already i'll paste from the quickfix release message: Before the patch can be applied it is necessary for users to repair their install using the client_background_downloader_rd located in your ryzom folder

Hi there,
can i just check with you that you ran the client_background_downloader_rd
prior to attempring to login, you will need to do this first in order to repair your instalation.
If that still fails you might try deleting the contents of your unpack folder and forcing a repatch.

I just wanted to post that the updated patch fixed all my problems. I am thankful for all the help that I got while some of us were waiting, thanks for the troubleshooting tips and patience for dealing with us. This community is shaping up to be all that everyone said it would be again thanks for the help. Peace out and have a nice day.
