As Sixxus, he was the Guildleader of The New Empire almost from its inception (give or take a few months). A pirate at heart, he always had a kind word for everyone and anyone. He loved the game and loved seeing others enjoy it as much as he did. Man, was he hopeless at melee. *grins sadly* But he'd give it his all each time.
Early on in life on Atys, he was asked to join the Jolt staff as a CSR, which he accepted with a happy heart. Dever was born. Again, he was able to help hominkind with a fair hand and generous personality. And did I mention that he loved being a pirate? His forte, in my opinion, was coordinating and directing, even writing Events. All of you have met Wormbreath, or at least have heard of him. Wormy was him to a tee. You should have heard him on Skype with 'Yarrrrs' and 'Me harty' and 'Me pretty's.
My friend Doug/Sixxus/Dever/Wormy passed away in his sleep. He'd been working on his summer cottage, preparing it for the coming season of fun and relaxation with his family. He went to take a nap to restore his energy and did not wake.
All of us who knew him well are simply shocked at this loss. I know he touched a lot of people. I'd like to hear from those of you who knew him. Please, remember him here for us. Give us your stories of this salty dawg.
