Perhaps they could finish the light armour, I've misplaced some conceptual art of a complete ( I believe it was light ) Kami armour. If I get time I will try and find it.

I think we should leave the armors as they are for the time being. That HA from final's link could well be ancient fyros HA crafted before the great swarming and the exodus. Remember hominity lost most of it's knowledge in that period, and civilisations were far more developped than today.

There are 4 sets of armors which aren't used much... I'm talking about MA, of course. It would be great to somewhat reduce its penalty, say from 5 to 3, so that more people will be tempted to use it (or combine some pieces of it with LA).
Even better, leave MA penalty as is and give each toon a -5 penalty credit, which would allow usage of 1 piece of MA with no penalty.
That being said, I won't say no to new armor models.
I'd also like to see a redesign of the helmets... to put it delicately, they are butt-ugly. In particular I'd like to see helmets where the toon face is visible.

i like the idea of factional armor. the links were pretty cool as suggestions too. i must agree with the comment about the MA. on the range thread, i suggested they focus MA more for players using range weapons. they would have to do it in a way where using range would give you some sort bonus while wearing MA. LA = mages HA= melee... why not MA = range weapons? even if no one likes that idea, they should definitely alter the stats so its not as big of a handcap while wearing it.

its possible to heal in MA if sap boosted... but then you lose about 10m of range and the protection is only worth it if you are regularly getting smacked by critters.
The time penalty (as long as you use little or no time credit in your spells) is about 0.1 seconds, which is neither here nor there really.
Ideally I would have a master Hand to hand skill, and set my toon inparry mode then heal in MA. that would make it decidedly hard for much to hit me, as MA can be crafted with +2 parry thats pretty close to the parry you can get with HA.
Having said that however, I think the penalty should be reduced slightly - so that the range penalty is more like 5m instead of 10 - and that MA helmets should be added.

Something I have always wanted.. was crafter influence on the Malus stat. Lightness is completely meaningless under current crafting rules, so why not use the lightness stat to affect the items Malus.. with a range of -2 / +2 same as Dodge/Parry.
Obviously this wont make a huge difference to HA or shields / 2h weapons, and shouldn't make any difference at all to LA and amps (unless you can have negative malus
) but would seriously influence what people looked for in MA.
Having non-zero effects on LA/amps would put a little life into crafting those also

I would make a lot of sense if malus was linked to the weight of an item - both logically and in terms of giving people a lot more options when desiging gear rather than just aiming for max parry + pf
