Game Launch Driver Message

Everytime I launch the game it tells me my drivers are out of date and gives me option to go to site to get new drivers. I have the most current driver from Nvidia, checked number of times to make sure, but the message still pops up everytime I start the game client.

Card: GeForce 7300 512 MB

Keeps telling me current version 0.0.6.5. Recommended version 6.1.7.6 for 7300 graphics card.

I did a search on Nvidia site to find the recommended version but did not get any hits on it to check the dates.

Any info on this issue?

Does it give any other information besides old drivers?

You may also want to try switching to Direct3D mode. When you start the game up, on the login screen select Configuration, and click on the Display tab. Once there, select Direct3D instead of Auto. Save, and relaunch Ryzom.

I get the same message lately -- and I suspect I know why.

Is it possible that you are playing the game on Windows Vista?
I upgraded my laptop recently -- and before upgrading, (in XP SP2) my game started just fine (ATI card here, btw, so already on Direct3D mode by my own choice).

Now in Vista, still in Direct3D mode -- and still silly message. I believe the game doesn't read the vista driver signatures correctly -- but you are going to tell me you get the message in XP now just to make me sound silly, aren't you?

Hope that helps -- as for getting rid of message...we need to diagnose first

If you are using Windows XP then the current nvidia driver is 9.3.7.1.
You should update the driver and use Direct3D mode as Tydamus suggests.

Must be a Vista thing, I have it too.

Same version and same message. Unfortunately on Vista there is no drive 6.1 etc.

Ah well, game works fine for me with the 0.0 drivers

Yup AFAIK its vista related.

I had the same problem with my card, to resolve it, i uninstalled the driver, installed an OLD version (like the one that came with the card) ran ryzom. It gave me the error, then i quit and upgraded to the latest drivers (from the website)

And heypresto! it worked
