Hello,
I'm doing the free trial of Ryzom, and was curious about the more in-depth parts of the game on the mainland- however, I wont subscribe to the game, until I know if the Roleplaying community exists. I consider myself to be a heavy roleplayer, choosing to roleplay as often as feasibly possible instead of grinding out levels soloing.
If I may ask a few questions, I'd appreciate polite answers.
-Are there roleplaying-specific guilds available to join, on the mainland?
-Is roleplay frequent to come by, or will I spend more time alone and grinding aimlessly, then socializing?
-Is roleplaying encouraged?
-Are there any places where roleplay is abundant[Taverns, cities, etc.]?
I have more questions, but these are my primary concerns I wish to have answers to.
Private messaging, or posting your responses here is fine with me. Just please, answer as honestly as possible whether you're an avid roleplayer or just an observer.

Hello there. Ill try to give you some polite, honest answers
EDIT: Just realised that this answer depends on what you mean by roleplay. I find that most people on the mainland will talk IC most of the time, but not so many are interested in doing high-RP, heavy-RP or whatever you might call it. You might also want to read this.
It may not be so frequent to come by accidentally, but should be fairly easy to seek up. Again the guild list mentioned by Katriell will give you an idea who to contact. You might also want to read this post which mirrors my own experience with the game.-Is roleplay frequent to come by, or will I spend more time alone and grinding aimlessly, then socializing?

Dont know what to answer actually. It isnt discouraged, but could perhabs be better supported. The Lore of Atys is rich, and most events have an element of RP in them. With the reactivation of the event team we might see more possibilites for RP influencing storyline as well. Who knows...-Is roleplaying encouraged?
That is exactly how I would describe myself as a player type, and I have had a great experience with Atys and the player community so far.I consider myself to be a heavy roleplayer, choosing to roleplay as often as feasibly possible instead of grinding out levels soloing.

Re: Out of Character Questions for In Character Progress
Thank you for your quick responses, I appreciate them.
I'll look in on those links you posted, and browse a bit more of the roleplaying section, and guilds. Hopefully I'll come across something that tickles my fancy, and something that'll push me into become a full subscriber.
Arispotle, I am Ridere, by the way. For those who'd like to speak to me in-game. Not online right now, but I'm contactable there otherwise.
Thankee,
Mizukuri
