Startling News

Post by The Soothsayer »

Ah, hello there. It has been some time since I last emerged from the depths of the roots. Though as I promised, I shall return bearing news of events to come. That time is now.

I feel a tingle in the air. I feel a spark in the breeze. The wind has died down. A storm is approaching.

Whispers, yes, yes whispers. I hear silent words spreading like wildfire to the brush. Can you hear them?

Strangers I see, foreigners to the eye. But this is not their first time here, nope. You shall see them. Many of them. They have no place here in the New Lands. Not at all. Their time has past, but they are stubborn and hardheaded.

Keep your eyes open and you shall see them too. Yes... yes. Be ever vigilant, ever careful. They cannot be trusted.

Keep your secrets close, and your daggers closer.

But I am tired now, and must retire for the night. This particular premonition has been stealthily and draining to pinpoint.

I shall return. I do not like to leave a job unfinished.

The Karavan.... *snicker*

I interpret this as there is another Kitin Invasion coming again... The Zorais will alert Grand Sage Mabreka of your words. If it is true, Zora and all other Towns in Witherings will prep for anything and everything that will come at us. Witherings will be safe from this threat. Whatever it may be... *grabs his amps and stores them on his mount, and searches for what the Soothsayer is warning us from....*

(( OOC: Well, this is exciting xDDD ))

*shakes head in a confused manner*

I think the grand sage will want more than the ramibilings of a homin, who has spent his whole life in separation, before he would even consider war preparations.

Soothsayer; How do we know we can trust you? Just becuase you say you have the power of foresight, doesnt mean you do. I have spent many a time walking through cities seeing old Homins, crazy from goo; but they make more sense than what you are telling us.

Of course, your comments could be true. Only a fool would take words of any homin and dismiss them enterily, so, yes. I will be ever vigilant, but no more than i already am.

Faa left Pyr troubled by the stranger's words. He was a tryker indeed but from his matisian daggers poison was dripping, and he had such a startling unrest in his eyes... and then the questions. Weird questions from a person she has never met. Why would anyone knwo about cities defences after all... And how fast he disappeared in the bright light of the day...

She swiftly broke up a pact hurrying to Fairhaven. This encounter should be brought to the ears of Marshall Rehn, as being the one responsible with the Federation defences.

Probably more likely the Marauders since Shekry has also been spied recently. ;)

I think they're going to kill Yrkanis, or something in that style... :)

Well, ... he was talking about putting the forest lands under new ownership, and that the tree of which the foolish evil kara matis made the palace is very old.

This is on the advice of a hermit of alledged prophetic powers, and not wishing to sound skeptical, but the predictions seem terribly vague, more seemed to be garnered from the reappearance of the tryker called Shekry (see saga around july '05) and his association with the unsuccessful marauder attacks.

If indeed it is the marauders. Then it is our pity and help and re-education they should recieive as fellow homins, not cold aggression. These outcasts and wanderers have no faith, they did not return to battle as we did in out last encounters, they lives were lost permenantly. I imagine they were in a desperate and unpleasent position where they were forced to come into conflict with homins who do not die as they did. For Homins to relish this as a glorious battle, you fail to see the finality of death in their potential actions, they do not return as we do from our outpost conflicts.

Thus we should not be so eager to condemn and slaughter fellow homins without at first understanding who they are and what they wish/need. I am sure Jena would praise the homin(s) who can convert an abandoned people to see the light. And such would be far better for the survival of homins in the ever present threat of a resurgent Kitin force.

I'm sure Jena doesn't even know you exist.

Do I look like I'm planning to kill them at the moment? Honestly I'd rather see you die, instead.

I'm quite sure their knowledge about the history of Atys is far more extended than those things you believe.
