If i start the client_background :d ownloader_rd.exe the Menu pops up where you can select "install" oder "repair". It does not matter which one i choose after like 5second i get the message, that the game is properly installed and if i would like to play the game. I press "ok" but nothing happens, no task just nothing.

If i start the client_ryzom_rd.exe it says /unpack/client.cfg not found.

Someone sent me his cfg to try to fix this issue and in some way it helped. Double klicking the client_ryzom_rd.exe now leads to a menu where you can select resolution etc. but there are many errors etc. so that you cannot select anything there.

is it possible to enter username/password and click connect ? (they all in first row if text is missing... and after it finishes patching, there will be "relaunch" button in middle of screen)
just in case... after relaunch, see if there is loads of files in ryzom unpack folder. for me at least once, patching failed to move them to right place.

btw, i agree with you that new installer is crap and "Repair" option does not do anything.

2nded. I had to reinstall the game on my 2nd pc, and decided to give the new installer a go... needless to say I just ended up using the old one.

I also have this problem. I've tried reinstalling the non-full version to no avail. When I start the ryzom application a DOS black-box opens up and closes very quickly and thats it. When I run the Downloader it says everything is done, but when I launch the game via downloader nothing happens.

I can see the fields but not any message where i should fill in something.

I will just leave the Game as it is at the moment- a Beta, thanks to all of you for your help :)

Ditto. Is this a big problem or are we a minority? :(

I'm having the same problem. I'll try the partial install idea.

*EDIT*

I was able to get into the game by using a partial install. Now for some research to solve my next issue...repeated crashes.
