Opening;
The early morning sun begins to rise, illuminating the city of Fairhaven. The city, which is now in a state of relative peace, save a few drunkards from the night before and the citizens who are preparing for the day ahead.
As the sun rises, it gently creeps through the window where there Zorai lay. It pierces through his mask waking him. He lets out a yawn, stretching his arms to his side before attempting to sit up. As he raises his head quickly the bands it on the low ceiling. Im sure as to who is awake he tries his best not to make it sound, instead of taking in a short sharp breath. He turns to his right to see Scamp looking at him in an inquisitive manner as if you to ask how did you sleep?. The Zorai smiles to himself and says I bet you thought that was really funny!
hey hey sleepy head! All set for the day ahead?
ER, yes, except for your exceedingly low ceiling!
oh, Im sorry Im not so used to tall guests, I hope you are OK, how was your sleep?
fine, thank you very much. Although I wouldnt be able to tell you just how good it was because this is the only one I remember
sorry there buddy, I didnt mean to bring up again. I know we spoke about it a lot last night and I told myself before going to bed that I would try my best not to bring it up.
its OK the Zorai says with a smile I have no choice but to get used to it, everyone I meet will want to know the same questions. So Id better get used to being asked them.
OK sure but for now, I have cooked you breakfast. Its nothing too fancy but Im sure it would be.
As the two of them begin to tuck into their breakfast, talking about their plans for the rest of the day and onwards. Scamp runs about the room obviously very set on having an adventure today.
Not long after finishing their breakfast Gabin suggests that they go into Fairhaven to search for some weapons and armour. They leave Gabins quiet little apartment on the edge of Fairhaven in search of any merchant who would be up early enough for them to purchase off. Gabin is clearly very popular with his peers, stopping every so often to say hello and have a small chat. He tries his best to introduce the Zorai to the people he meets. But for some reason the Zorai doesnt seem too keen on meeting any one. Gabin dismisses it assuming that he is just shy.
OK just a ahead should be a good friend of mine Ive been buying arm of her for years it also makes great amplifiers as well. Shes a nice enough girl if but a bit weird, likes to ramble you see, not about anything particular usually its utter nonsense but occasionally shell say something very wise. I guess it just depends on what type of day she thinks shes having.
I dont mind what the person is like, as long as her skill with an Armour craft tool is second to none.
I see, Im sure you will find her skill more than amicable. You see this? Gabin grabs his sleeve and holds up to the Zorai who in turn bends down to look closely at it. see I told you its good work I told you
The Zorai smiles at him, and nods with a smile of appreciation, understanding the full extent of the work that has gone into this Armour.
The rest of the journey to the craftsman is a quiet one. Unsure as to what to say, Gabin just keeps his thoughts to himself. Occasionally turning to scamp to hurry him along.
After a short while they reach the craftsman. who sees Gabin in the distance Heya Gabin, oh she turns to the Zorai I see you have a tall one in tow, hello, come for some armour? Mind telling me your name now?
An awkward silence sweeps the area just near. A few hungry shoppers stop to see what is going on.
err, Were not too sure, Kyerna. Were headed to Zora to see if anyone knows whats going on
I see Kyerna eyes the Zorai up and down, well you aint gunna get there dressed like that She quickly turns into her bag and hurrying through it mumbling to herself too small, too small, dam too ugly, I wonder where.. hmm do I know? Nah, why would I know? I only crafted it. It is somewhere, I bet its far too old now. I guess he would want it though.
Gabin turns to the Zorai, both of them trying not to let out a snigger.
I can feel that youre laughing on the inside Kyerna snaps Do you want this armour or not? She turns back to the pair with some armour in her hands.
wow, erm yes the Zorai responds slightly shocked. This work is outstanding, the quality, the feel
you should try it on Kyerna says with a wink
The Zorai holds the armour up against his chest, lets out a broad smile and quickly snuggles into it.
It fits perfectly, how did you know it would fit like this?
I had a feeling.
A feeling?
Yes, well, we have met before. You asked me to craft you this armour about two years ago, but you never came to collect. I believe the armour was paid in full
Both Gabin and the Zorai are stopped completely in their tracks.
What did you say?
You heard me correct Kyerna says
So, you? You know his name? Gabin asks wide jawed.
Well, no. Im afraid we only met once, just outside Pyr, I think he lives there. He paid me upfront and just said that it was for a special assignment. Its not my place to ask, especially when a Homin is willing to pay 10 million.
CLOSE:
It feels, for one Homin at least, that time has come to a stand still. Suddenly, what was a few questions has now become many. The air feels moist, the sky turns black. Rain starts to pour and the nearby citizens hide under the shelter of the city, save 3 Homins, two Trykers and One Zorai.
