This is the first podcast I've listened to (I only just got back in Ryzom last week), but I must say it makes for a very enjoyable listen while digging. Both interesting and funny at times. Great initiative Beau!
That "Jena filling the dragon with fire" means she fueled it up was a theory I hadn't heard before. For the main part, I agree with Maya's story as the most plausible version of how Atys came about, based on our current knowledge.
Good section on naming a character too. There's one advice I'd like to add that I learned the hard way myself: Once you've decided on a name, always Google it first to see what comes up, before making the character. It's really annoying to find out
after making the character that the name you thought was just random letters, is actually the name of some famous fantasy character or movie actor you never heard of. Or a company name for a business you'd rather not be associated with. You don't need to have a unique name ofcourse, but it's nice to know in advance what others might associate your character's name with. And if you did come up with a unique name that makes Google turn up empty, remember that any online reference to your character will be plain for all to find.
I most strongly sympathised with (ie: laughed during) the last part of that trip

"I hate swimming... around... Fairhaven. I hate not being able to swim
under these... planks. Why we can't just swim straight under these damn planks?"
So annoying, you finally make it to Fairhaven and then you have to take a huge detour around those platforms
Oh, I don't think anyone was worried you'd do the Exodus Festival wrong, Beau. There is no Exodus Festival right now, so doing it at all is already right. We just like to think out loud how we imagine such a Festival. I hope you weren't discouraged to go ahead with it.
Anyways, it's a nice podcast, so I'll surely be catching up on all the previous podcasts during my future digging sessions.
