Re: Battle Arena
No it's all about fun! and there is no team bug in the arena! Will ask riveit if the event is to go ahead today!
Re: Battle Arena
I shouldn't say i am shocked at the negativity to wards this event by the Kara, saddened may be more appropriate.
Its seems the kami can do no right...why can this not be taken as just a fun event, one that both sides can take part in, and hostilities put aside, even if just for a few hours, for one night.
But if that is not the case, I would suggest the kami still go ahead with this, we can hold this event with or with out the kara. We can still have the fun that is intended

Re: Battle Arena
Things probably look different when you're on the side with nothing to lose. This event has the potential to be fun, yes, but when suggested and carried out in the midst of forum arguments about in-game PvP, the results I would expect to see used solely as a propaganda tool:teedee40 wrote:I shouldn't say i am shocked at the negativity to wards this event by the Kara, saddened may be more appropriate.
-If the Kami win, the Karavan are terrible PvPers and don't deserve outposts.
-If the Karavan win, they're still the same evil oppressors that need to be defeated.
So why would the Karavan unanimously embrace this event with enthusiasm?

Re: Battle Arena
Well you know, I am on the kami side, yes, this is true
But I don't consider I am on the losing side, the game means a little more to me than just out posts. But I suppose I can see your point of view, and as such I have a differing opinion.
I am a winner when I pop a sup mat I wasn't expecting to find. I am a winner every time I complete a successful trek with a new player, I feel a winner every time I heal out of team to help some one achieve the goal they set for them selves in levels that day
I don't post very much, as you can see from my post count, all though I have been playing for a year now. I read the forums, which have phases of what I can only describe as hate threads, and as a rule try to keep out of them. Bickering and ***** not being my thing.
I saw this event as something different from what the kara are thinking. I'm sure there are more like me, on both sides. To me it was to get us all together, with out it being an OP battle, something which usually has bad mouthing going on in region chat...all though to be honest I stopped using that channel at battles a long time ago.
I have been to matis arena in the past for pvp events, and they are always fun...well at least to me, these events had players from both sides there then, and fun was had by all. Even kami/kara congratulating each other on there victories
Maybe the timing of this one is wrong, as you say, amidst the bickering going on the forums...but why not take this opportunity for all to be in one place at a 'fun' event, where there is no OP to lose, surely, with a battle that has nothing to lose, tempers will not fray so much, and it might just be possible for all to put aside the bickering and get along for the evening
I could be 100% wrong and this is all a ploy to cause more problems, I personally have not been in the company of those who feel this way.
So, I will finnish this post saying who ever turns up turns up, I hope we get even numbers on both sides, but if not, the kami as I say can have this fun on there own...and the bridges between the two factions can stay as far apart as they are, would be nice to get together though and start mending some

Re: Battle Arena
The kami simply dont have the numbers of the karavan, pvp is something we are equal to the karavan at, the karavan IF they lose will still deserve the OPs they have cos they took the time to recruit and organise with the aim to win OPs. If kami win its a pat on the back, and a reminder we can fight back we just need to work on recruiting and organisationsetstyle wrote: -If the Kami win, the Karavan are terrible PvPers and don't deserve outposts.

Re: Battle Arena
Imagine you like pvp and you are at the "losing" side. All possibilities you get to do mass pvp is op battles where you are outnumbered 90% of the time...
Wouldnt you like to see an event where you can prove you CAN be a good pvper and where it is not a numbers game... Try to imagine that for a second, and I think you can imagine, the "losing" side would like to have a possibility to win for a change...
And this is the perfect opportunity for the "winning side" to show they ARE as good as they say they are... no?

Re: Battle Arena
Aye the event will go ahead today! To those Karas still questioning whether they'd like to take part, perhaps youd like to come anyway! You dont have to participate, I'm sure you'll see all intensions are good, and it will make a good opportunity to just mingle and meet people you may have missed before!teedee40 wrote: So, I will finnish this post saying who ever turns up turns up, I hope we get even numbers on both sides, but if not, the kami as I say can have this fun on there own...and the bridges between the two factions can stay as far apart as they are, would be nice to get together though and start mending some
On the numbers, the Kamis are more than happy to switch sides to even the battle where needed. So we'll still see some great pvp

Re: Battle Arena
It was indeed
Thanks to all, kami and kara who showed up. Suporters and judges
Maybe next time, we can be more numbers I think all who showed had a good time.
Was very strange fighting against kami who had to join the kara side, but good fun

Re: Battle Arena
Was good fun, bit odd fighting against kami but good fun. Suprised the kami side won after the start, running out of ammo helped them im sure
Genrally a good event, i did notice the usual karavan pvpers didnt show, was a shame as they really could of used you.
