OK... I'll bite... what are we building this time?

Karavaneers building a landing pad for Jena's (extremely late!) starship? Complete with dressing room and reception area of course.

Kamists building a giant magnifying lense to focus Ma Duk's energy into a powerful beam of light that will burn their enemies from the face of Atys?

Hmm. Sounds like a plan to me. Devs, let's see those craft plans :)

Exactly the same method which is used now with OP/GH. One cat evert 3 minutes (or whatever), slowly accumulating in the appartment.

And I mentioned that they should be "no-trade", so people won't be able to sell them off alts.

I think she means 'what lore-based reason would we have to have them spawn magically in our appartments?'

Gods live on Atys (or close)... what other lore-based reason can be needed when we have the will of Ma'duk, Jena, Triton, whatever? ;D

In the end, I don't think I'd be able to comfortably justify the magical appearance of cats in my apartment or inventory. And what if I can't use them quickly enough, my apartment painfully overcrowds itself with cats, and I have to worry about bulk issues all over again? :p

Either way, I'd still rather see them offered as a reward from either redeemed honor points or missions themselves. Anything that shifts cats from a PvP-only product to a reward of non-PvP would be welcome. :)

There are currently "community" OP's which are not PvP oriented. They are being awarded while not dealing with the PvP... Non-PvP content should be available but to suggest you have to fight to get cats is not exactly true.

Some say that's not the way is supposed to be played. In that view of the game, community outposts should not exist, and anyone who does not fight for cats (or earn the favour of those who fight for them, I suppose) should not have cats.

Sometimes it's hard to know which argument to use, they're all used so fast and easy.

Methods of gaining cats (if they continue to exist at all) that depend solely on your own skills, dedication, and performance ... that is ideal.

Ryzom is a game with a lot of freedom. The OPs was intended to figth for cats between guilds, but our freedom has leaded to a figth between alliances. Some people think that OPs must be archieved without PvP, and they have made the community OP.

That's made inside the freedom of the game. All done inside the freedom of the game is good. If I'd want a rigid game, I would be playing KotOR or NWN now.

I really like those people that, when they think that something is needed, make that to happen (Like community OP), instead ask the devs to change things to adapt to their view. This is not a complaint agaisn all people asking things to devs, but I think that sometimes we don't see the big freedom of this game, and all the ways for change things that we don't like. Other times, if we can't change, maybe is because most people don't want to be that way.
