patch 607 problem!

Post by salmai »

I've finally fixed error 101 but now when the game patches, it gives me a error report halfway through patch 607. Anyone know what to do?

Let me elaborate. The game starts patching normally, and at a certain point it freezes, after this it exits and windows's very helpfull error report pops up telling me that ryzom_client.exe has had a critical failure? I've run the data check and no errors in my game files were found. I've alson renamed my save folder, but to no avail.

Well patch 607 was the patch responsible for adding bloom effect to the graphics, can't see any reason why it would fail.
One option for you to try is completely uninstall Ryzom using add remove programmes as you would normaly do, after this go to your programme files and maunualy delete the Ryzom folder (presuming you installed to the default location) c:/programme files/Ryzom.
After this completely reboot your pc and reinstall Ryzom and try the patch process again.

Just as a btw though how old is the install you have for Ryzom.
Good luck and i hope to see you ingame real soon.
