I will admit that my friends and I refer to Matis as "Ryzom easy mode." :P That's more for laughs than anything, even though it might have a very small and insignificant base in reality.

They just don't go anywhere useful...or they lead right into a pack of gingo.

Honestly, Fairhaven is a PITA! I can see where I want to go...Why can't I just jump over the rail and swim there?

If you're referring to their regions, Zorai lands are easy mode :p

You actually have to go out of your way to find aggro for the low lvl missions...

That's part of the fun :p And then you eventually get high enough to slaughter them all!! Muah ha!

From I can gather all regions have their little charms or irks depending on your point of view and it's what makes visiting new regions and cities worthwhile. If all regions were created equal you would know exactly what to expect at every turn in a completely different locale, and the only thing that might throw you off would be a difference in fauna and terrain. It would make Atys feel more 'static' and less organically alive imo. Nothing is really created the same and it's a nice touch that is was brought in the game this way.

I have always felt that Nevrax had the Karavan make this statement during the event precisely to correct the inequity between Kami and Karavan camps and their respective access to supreme forage materials, for which Nexus Minor had provided some counterbalance to the Prime Roots.

The imbalance between the prime roots and surface materials quality has already led the vast majority of digging homins to focus on prime roots foraging, if not primarily then as an urgent second, as can be seen by comments in this thread - squeezing some diversity and colour out of the world. I think supreme forage materials should be available in every region, with even more restricted availability than found below the surface. That would add even more to the mix of jewellery crafting recipes. Prime roots materials will always have the advantage of being racially ambivalent for crafting, and allow black and white armours.

And yes, the strange beng spring outside Yrkanis ought to dry up sometime. With so much excavation activity in such a small area I expect Yrkanis may soon have an easy access portal to the Prime Roots :) .

All of the regions are very easy to navigate if you spend time there. The towns, as well are easy. When you first start spending time in a town, simply use your map to navigate. Eventually you will be able to run through each area without the use of your map. I can get to most of the important places in Pyr, Zora, Fairhaven, and Yrkanis (this town I know with my eyes closed).

In regards to Digging. Leveling a dig up to level 190 to be able to dig in Nexus is very simple (unless you're me). Nexus is only a level 200 zone after all. Adding to that the aggro thick walls of cuttler and torbacks and what not, digging there solo is actually harder than digging in most places in PR. I'm way able to dig ql 230 in Forest mats now, but I have only attempted to dig in Nexus twice.

Grove of Confusion is considerably easy though, as digging areas are involved. I only have to avoid Zatchel, Vispa, the Great jug/Destroyer Jugula that pops on reboots, Kinchers, Cuttler, Destroyer Gibbai, evil Ancient Dryads camp which hates me, the ocyx, and my own explosions to be able to dig there. Not to mention, more often than not I'm the only one digging there if and when I do die.

Dyron is much harder though. That excessive homin population must be quite a problem. And those stray kipucka! Whatever do you do? Flaming Forest...20 times harder. I dont even dig there and I know all the super hard spots to dig!

Void, wow, lets not even go into that! We all know how terrible Bajam is!

I think Loria might be about as easy as GoC, especially if you are a Kamist digging there.

In regards to the excellent Beng that pops outside of Yrkanis. It's completely useless and has a gingo spawn practically on top of it.

Sure am glad I was able to respond to this thread. I'm very luck to be blessed as a tall, pale tryker.

May I disagree, Keiko, please? :)
I have dug in Nexus only from level 100 to 200. No guilt feelings for taking sups or exce at lower level that 200 either: nobody wants them now.

The aggro is pretty rare. Make a dp day and see what are the safe pathes. All aggro is red: cuttlers die in 2 shots, torbaks in 3, with mpa or fear you can kill solo any single mob there.

There are 2 hard spots where you need team, but only if you want those precise mats.

The aggro moves upon its own rules, different from Loria for example. Dig one safe spot and have an eye on them. See when and how they move, then you're safe.

Nexus is a heaven for the lower level crafter who still wants to play with supremes at his ease. It's a soruce of endless happiness to see your stuff at higher stats than any otehr crafter your level shining in the vendor. I strongly recommend Nexus as digging experience.

Compared to PR and Loria (my previous digs) it gives a lot of satisfaction as you don't have to just run from any mob, but you can kill most of them too.

I guess you are talking from the viewpoint of an Avatar of Destruction, Faa. Nexus is a very deadly place for me, so your talk of single digit shots to kill is laughable :) .
