The one thing that people aren't pointing out is that Nexus is also a PvP zone, where any other q200 dig area isn't. I'm Fyros, a desert/PR digger, and have no problems with forest diggers getting this area.
In any region, including PR, players can learn to navigate in a fair amount of confidence. This is like the rest of this game though, you get out what you put in.

what a silly discussion, everyone knows wastelands is the only place to dig. doesn't make any difference what race you are, just need to learn to blend in with the wildlife
more seriously, even though i was quite serious with previous comment, i don't think there are any issues with inequalities. each land has certain advantages and disadvantages, as does the faction you pick (or not). It would be boring as hell if every zone of the same level was carefully balanced so as not to offer any advantage. Balance is a good thing, but not at some macro level. Things work out just fine in the end whatever path you tread.
The only niggling thing in my mind is the relative attractiveness of the races for new players. The Zoraïns have always been the least popular, one presumes because of the mask, the Matis the most popular, so many want to be an elf. On a personal level i love being who i am, i picked Zoraï from the lore, and have never been unhappy with my choice.. Some are, maybe their needs to be more marketing of the less popular races, the homepage always seems to have pictures of Matis when i visit

I prefer Jena's sunlight to anything else.
*agrees, it's a silly discussion, about personal preference in that respect*
I noticed this too, but still I never get any coverage myself .rushin wrote:... the homepage always seems to have pictures of Matis when i visit ...

Hmm.. you know rushin, I am new so this may just have been an odd thing but in the couple of weeks I've been playing, every one I meet is a Tyker. I selected Matis and just about every one I see around the Matis capital is a Tyker. the newbie island was crawling with the little things. Me thinks they are secretly planning a hostile take over of Atys

People try to claim its a Matis invasion of the lakelands... but it seems signs point to the oppositeportios wrote:Me thinks they are are secretly planning a hostile take over of Atys

Re: Game Inequities (Non-PvP)
Derailing this thread back to the original post, The Lakeland cities are an absolute waste of time to get to unless you are Karavan aligned.
this means that almost no one uses the higher level tryker merchants, which might explain why so many trykers shop in the forest..
Min Cho is almost as bad.
town TPs should be accessible to neutrals, even if not to opposed factions.
Also I think I heard that people with +ve Kami fame only have 3 respawns in Lakelands, which may be a fitting punishment for their foolishness, but probably counts as an inequity for those who get upset about that kind of thing

Barely anyone sold anything in Zorai or Tryker lands before the fame changes anywayhuntar wrote:Derailing this thread back to the original post, The Lakeland cities are an absolute waste of time to get to unless you are Karavan aligned.

Re: Game Inequities (Non-PvP)
hmm i get loads of stuff in avendale, usually is not bought out as much as natae is, dyron seems to lack shoopers, tons of stuff there and ppl say dappers are useless
on to the specific points, nexus doesn't bother me one way or the other, once upon a time i dug there, but since PR lost patrols, pr map sites and cats came in
the PR is really not as scary, and often easier.
the ex beng spot is an oddity, and i've no idea why its still q200, annoys me ppl dig there, its purpose being to facilitate a rite. But i guess is no worse than dyron or mincho for q200 convenience, after all matis is the only land that doesn't have a red zone next to its capital zone.
Greater inequities are:
The position of the fyros towns, i know many early in the game that upped and left their native lands to dig in dyron.
The aggro density and safety of various lands and regions. Zorai lands in particular are very easy to navigate avoiding dangers, hence the popularity of Void lvling compared to other 250 zones. tryker lands, esp the low lvl area have the abundance of water which is such a godsend for the nastier low lvl fights.
Additional edit: The building art in fyros is diversified and has uniquenes and individuality (thesos bar + tower, dyron's training building, Pyr), where as the other 3 races towns are lesser copy pastes of the main city, and have no unique landmarks.

Re: Game Inequities (Non-PvP)
i'm not realy 100% with the lore but i'll give it a shot:
Is it not said or rather ordered by jena that the matis ppl shall not venture beneath the ground, this presumably refers to the pr regions.
now anyone that follows the lore to the letter of the lore will of course be in full obeyance with this command,
Now we have a dilema, the matisian people aren't allowed into the pr so how do we fix it?
ok we'll build one very small area above ground where these homins can dig supreme mats, that will still allow them access to every aspect of the game without punishing them because of their play style.
I dunno call me mad if you like but that seems kinda ok to me.
