The lore didn't say it per se, rather we did since she was obviously not homin (not blue, not short and ugly, not tanned and ugly, and no pointy ears)

As for the center of Atys, I think it's covered quite nicely here.

PS Kami preachers are fun to kill in Ring scenarios :D

kinkoo vs 5 kami in a ring scenario

kinkoo wins :P
The Kami are 'living incarnations' of the energy. This means that they can die, since they are not the energy itself. They do, however, 'share a collective conscience', and they can be recreated by the Life Giver when they are needed again.
The Kamis are the living incarnation of Ma-Duk
They share a collective conscience

If the Kitin are a natural part of Atys, wouldn't the Kami be sensitive to their movements, meaning they could warn us before invasions happened. Another thing that is has always bothered me, is respawning. I am under the impression there was no resurrection before the Kitin invasion, so what changed? Is it possible that respawn is a Kitin gift? We are most likely only seeing the weakest and the dumbest of them topside. Why respawn now and not before?

As for the regressed races, regressed is just a descriptive word, what if it means greater genetic compatibility with Atys. All the 'lower' races have magic. Could not the Kami have once been Karavan who have been genetically altered?

The planet has a will to grow, an uncontrollable, unnatural, and an eventually destructive will to grow. If the Kami are linked to it, serve it, and support it, they will never be satisfied, they will always look to grow and conquer. The desire for growth and expansion is so great that they will not even tolerate the continual existence of something that is not 100% Atysian, morph or die.

There is something wrong with Atys, something unnatural to the universe.

To grow and expand is to live, to one day die and perish is to live. :p

If it's true that Atys is just number 1, it may be that it is forming a path to somewhere else, or the key to planets better suited to hominkind. (?)
I think the Kami are genuinely a part of Atys, but the Karavan may know approximately where the homins come from and are possibly trying to get there? And the way to these places lie within Atys and with the fate of the homins..

Or not, *shrug* :D

Yes, growth and expansion are part of physical life. Sacrifice, restraint, compromise, compassion, and love are matters of the spirit. I have seen nothing that indicates Ma-Duk recognizes much less endorses any of those concepts.
