Killing (ganking) in the PR
Re: Killing (ganking) in the PR
Personally, I would be very angry if I was killed by a biscuit. Remember, " politics" start with you.

My opinion that I think noone shares is to make all of Prime Roots an action free zone. Kill or heal whoever you wish.

my opinion that no one else seems to share is to make the PR so damn dangerous than being ganked is the least of your worries

Sehrachii brought up a good point, and makes me wish for a change in how TPs are considered for protection.
If you have participated in PvP, then you have a 10-15 minute timer that must expire before you can be protected by a TP. Any TP. From any sort of attack. For you, it's as if the TP doesn't exist until the timer expires. If that is too long for you, teleport out and hide in your apartment until the timer expires. Being tagged for OP battles should count as well. And like OP timers, if you continue to participate in PvP (even healing another PvPer), your timer gets reset.
PvP is dangerous, and should be dangerous for everyone who chooses to participate. This would keep cowards from harassing others, and then hiding behind the TP for protection.
I consider it a bug that is currently being exploited whereby you can kill someone and then be protected from retaliation just 20m away at the TP.

Re: Killing (ganking) in the PR
You consider this game to be nothing but a WAR. I disagree. This game is many different things to many different people. The digger that you are killing may never participate in pvp. They may simply want to craft a supreme item because they enjoy figuring out crafting. Maybe they need white mats for a wedding dress. Maybe they are filling a crafting order for a black suit of HA for a Kamist friend or nice jewelry for a cute Kamist Trykerette.great83 wrote:Ok i will admit i am a ganker when i kill a KA digger in LoU. But i do this for a reason, i see the ongoing war between the KA and the kami alliance AS A WAR. People are diggin in the PR for one of two reasons, 1st and the biggest is to level up their PR harvesting in a place that has a bit less aggro and better weather. the 2nd reason is to harvest off of supernodes to get a large amount of sup mats, these mats will be eventually be used to create weapons or armours with the sole purpose for killing me and my fellow kamis in a OP battle. In real life there has never been a problem with bombing factorys that are being used for war time efforts... and that is all i am doing.
Here is my personal opinion. I prefer the concept of a limited war on Atys. I have many Kamist friends and am always happy to dig and hunt with them. I leave the "war" at outpost battles and rez everyone that asks. I don't get angry if I am killed while digging however I would never kill an innocent PR digger. In AA, we have always considered it a booting offense to kill an innocent digger. Perhaps that policy may be changed since many of our own low level diggers have been killed up to 10 times a day by you and your allies in the last few months.
I don't completely condemn your position; you are playing your role as you see it, providing pvp or rp content for some players - while at the same time restricting pve content to other players that want it. Lastly, I don't think that you are doing your guild or faction any good by killing low level diggers. Some people were motivated to fight against Team Spirit over the weekend to get revenge for your actions. Do a few q150 sups really matter in a pvp battle? How do you allies feel over this issue? Do they want the KA to start killing them while digging in PR in retaliation?
One last question: Are you also an in-game extortionist? Do you still demand that KA diggers give you a portion of their sup mats in return for not being killed in PR? What do people think of that policy?

I did not know that. (I'm still neutral)
Look guys,
LoU is in the Prum roots
Prime roots is a Hard place
you don't get much harder than having the threat of enemy combatants at all times.

Hehe, I probably should have held that in. I find it remarkable how far things have changed since this thread:rushin wrote:*hands Riveit a bigger spoon to stir things with*

There is alot of irony in the changing positions and the strange bedfellows that this "war" has made.

This whole thread is yet another load of cobblers.
The only text worth reading is... "You just entered a PvP zone, Expect to die" (or whatever it is)

That was a missunderstood and missused piece of RP. It was settled with the BM so if you have any doubts, Riv, please contact Kilgore or Nymphet.
