Error : patch files failed

Well I came back after a long period of time, re-subscribed and first what i got was error 1. I've checked forums and found I have to change StartupHost string to the following.

"rslogin.juk.shards.nevrax.com:40916"

It worked. Next it moves me to the patch screen with

Set file attributes: ./unpack/ryzom_00500.ldx ->

and eventually to Error: patch files failed - checking. Unpack folder is empty. What should I do?

Same problem - i try deleting unpack folder, reinstalling game and still same...

If you have a router and/or firewall, please make sure *all* ports are open.

You can also add "crashcounter.nevrax.com" to your firewall/router's block list, and change the StartupHost to "su1.rzl01.gameforge.fr:40916"

Still same, i try it with disabled FW.

Normal login, select Patch, now game say message:

Set file attributes:./unpack/ryzom_00500.ldx

and under cca 20 sec error "patch files failed"

in two times game say this: <notexist:uidfailed>

StartupPage = "/index.php"
in client_default.php ? and can select shard named "Patch" when ryzom starts ?

if yes, then... Gameforge, this is server side problem !! server gives this:
Shard 1, addr = 192.168.1.1, id = 1, name = Patch!, PatchURIs = http://130.117.80.5:40916/patch_oldlive
PatchURI ip is unreachable.

i hope you already downloading that new client they released today
Only very old clients are getting shard select with patch number 500, so having new installer is best.

Downloading and installing a fresh copy of the new game client should get rid of your patching issues.

FWIW, are you using a custom config ?

If so, this could also be the problem if you haven't updated it with the new info.

I'm having the exact same problem sotka first described (right down to the fact that I have resubscribed after a long absence, two years in my case). "Error: patch files failed - checking." I have used the newest installer, opened ports on my router, tried the two different suggested StartupHost addresses, and deleted the "unpack" folder and run ryzom_recover, but nothing has worked. What should I try next? It would be nice if I could actually take advantage of my subscription.
