Suggestion for fixing Prospecting and Deposit Tracking

First, we all get new credit cards so that Ryzom doesn't have any of our info..

then we make them figure out our new card numbers by guessing. They may ask us for each digit if they're hot or cold, to which we allways reply 'oh man! you're on fire!' OR they may ask us if the correct digit is 2 above or 2 below their current digit, which we'll answer correctly 50% of the time, and lie 50% of the time...

Maybe if they had to use the same tools we do to find what they want they'd realize it's about as much fun as sticking myself in the eyeball with a spoon.


On the bright side, i sent in a bug ticket last night and a gm responded within 2 minutes and sat there for half an hour watching me test the abilities to see what i was describing, I have never seen such support from a game company. Much hope for the future:>

That's your problem, you need to be using a spork or grapefruit spoon for best results.

Tracker only gets you TO the source, after that point is where most seem to make their mistakes. Send me a /tell in game and within 30 minutes regardless of what I am doing I will meet you at one of the locations listed above and from that spot find any source you like for you to verify the skills.

Heres something odd I have found doubletap, maybe you know what it is. I used a minor cloth specialization and 100m tracking. It pointed me to a source. When I got there, I searched all 360 degrees around me and backed up a few steps and tried all around. NOTHING was found. Not clothes sources not any source. It did not give me the depleted area message, it did not give me no resources are here at the moment message. It just said there are no sources here. Why did it track to there? I have tried this several times and it always seems to track it over there but I have never found anything at that spot.

I think I nailed the bug. I was testing tracking / harvesting for specific mats a few weeks ago, and it seems the tracker finds all mats that could be present there. But sometimes these specific mats just aren't available at the current time. I think the devs are aware of it, don't know for sure dough.
