Hi,
I'm new to Ryzom and I just downloaded/extracted/ran the client. It shows the thing about NVidia then just shows a entirely black screen where I can faintly see a crimson bar along the bottom edge. What is wrong here? It shows no error messages and I can click around on the thing (Even know its black) and it opens up a IE page with a password recovery form on it.
Is something wrong with my video drivers?
Thanks,
Mechana
Help, please.
Re: Help, please.
"The thing about NVidia"? The client should show "The Saga of Ryzom" small window centred on display, then "Nevrax" flash page, 1024x768 window top left of display, which has NVidia logo in the bottom right corner. Then, in that same window, the login screen which seems not to be displaying correctly in your case, although at least partly functional (one of the buttons is "I forgot my password"). Sounds to me like corruption not a video issue.
I'd suggest uninstalling Ryzom and deleting your Ryzom folder. Make sure you've no viruses or malware on your system then try the download again. You might like to keep your original download to compare properties / checksum with a second attempt.
