So, in deference to Red (whose objection is in my opinion perfectly understandable) I propose we say something along the lines of "the account were pillaged by some scurvy bilge rat". I think that covers all the bases rather nicely.

But that ignores tha fact that 'Bilge rats' were an essential part of a ship duties.(therefore a useful and productive activity that benefits all on the ship).....admitted it was a duty normally used as a form of non judicial punishment for a sailor.
And any 'scurvy' sailor would be recieving medical attention from the ship surgeon, and unlikrly to be working in the ships bilges.
Of course we could use the phrase
"I don't want to accept responsibility for actions attached to the account I created when I accepted the EULA agreement ".

Direct, simple, and accurate summary of the situation.
