I have a small problem that has been annoying me since yesterday.
The first time I started Ryzom up, I could hear thunder when it rained. Now, it seems that that sound has just disappeared. Also, I can no longer hear my own character fighting (screaming when attacking) although I can hear other people's just fine. Also, someone told me they hear footsteps when they run but I am not able to hear any (this just could be part of the game though).
My sound card is a Sound Blaster Live! 24 and I have the latest drivers installed. I have also tried messing with EAX, Software Buffer, and Max Channels in the sound options within the game to no avail. I have also tried changing my hardware acceleration level using dxdiag (I have the latest direct x drivers as well).
Does anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix this?
Thanks.
Sound Problem - No thunder, screamings, footsteps
Re: Sound Problem - No thunder, screamings, footsteps
No idea on this one.
Some sounds seem to get dumped if you are in a busy spot.
Proximity to character seems to have an effect.
Try changing the zoom distance a bit with your mousewheel.
