Could I talk to someone in marketing then?

Post by tengheau »

Because I would really like Ryzom to succeed, but I am not at all sure "the devs" are who should be judge and jury in this. To succeed Ryzom needs a larger playerbase than it was able to scare up with it's approach so far. Here are two suggestions before I start work for the day:

1. Put in another universe channel for random stoopidness. I know, I know, I know, but if you do it, then turn yours off it will be like it never existed, and I promise you it addresses a real issue that will only get worse of you don't.

2. Re-write the Lore. Oh My Good, did you run it through Polysyllabic's Patented Translation Engine with the Inkhorn Maxification Plugin? I am no enemy of pollysyllabisms, but the choices made, together with the random hiccups of dialect speech, leave it a collection of great ideas and great development in dire need of an editor.
I am reading it to my son and at the end of nearly every line the voice of Kingsley Amis chants "Recast the sentence!". Nobody, and I mean even *me* talks like that or ever did.

ta!

There's only ONE speach in the kingdom of ryzom thats officially allowed.
Thats the Speach of Sun Ce, The King of the Universe.
Sun Ce, The Devil of Arispotle.
The Sexiest beast alive.
A living Legend.
Alpha and the Omega
&
King of the Universe
"So in a few moments Sun Ce had disposed of two enemies, one crushed to death and one frightened to death. Thereafter Sun Ce was called the Little Prince.!"
