Newbie....

Post by cabert »

Greetings. I checked out the free trial and so far I dig it. I'll be making the debate to subscribe over the next few days. If any vets feel like helping a newb along with an alt I'll be on the island. :) I of course have tons of questions about PvP and guilds and the whole nine yards.

Ummmm....I'm at work now so I couldn't tell you what sever I picked. I loaded in last night at about 3 am...lol I'm in the states Eastern. I will definately try and find you in game. Thanks for the welcome!

My first questions....

How do guilds work? As far as joining one and is there specific territory for guilds? How do you start one? Player structures of any kind? etc...

PvP: I take it guilds can go to war with one another etc?

I'm looking to do heavy RP & PvP...SO I suppose I should be shopping for that type of player organization.

Welcome to Atys! Guilds can declare allegiance to the two factions or neutral and to the four civilizations. Guilds are not exactly territorial with the exception of owning outposts. Most guild warfare is over outposts. There is combat in the Prime Roots PvP regions and tagged factional PvP. The following lists contain most guilds and have a bit of information on them. I suggest asking questions and taking your time joining a guild to find one that suits you. With a million dappers you can start your own guild if you wish to do so.

For most Arispotle guilds look here:

For most Cho guilds look here:

Hey thanks for the helpful references. Last night I made it to the point where I'm being asked to use stanzas and mixing up the actions. How complex does this get?

It can be daunting at first but it's not too bad after you get into it a bit. You need to balance out the credits so you can put all the bonuses you want in.

Magic is a good example. One change I find very handy is taking out the range so it is basicaly point blank, because that reduces the amount of credit needed I can then take out the cast time so the spell casts faster. I can then use that variation of the spell if something makes it to melee with me.
