Frustrated Newbie Has a Question

Post by jinster »

As a bit of introduction ... I'm a mature, experienced online gamer. I cut my gaming teeth on one of the first MMOGs ... the Realm. Spent many years on SWG until Sony ruined the game for my style of play. Moved on to WOW but after over a year, found it had become boring and repetitive. Ryzom is absolutely intriging. I'm currently playing the free version. I'm trying everything ... all four skills, learning the interface ... learning what my chosen character can and can't do ... exploring the land and it's lore ... learning from each mission.

And that's where my problem lies. I have my character to lvl 14 fight ... lvl 10 magic ... lvl 16 craft ... lvl 16 harvest. And now I'm being told each time I select a new mission "You have already picked the maximum number of solo missions."

Is this because I'm still playing the free version? I plan to subscribe, but now hesitate if I'm going to continue to have my experience hindered by this type of restriction. I believe in having a well-rounded character capable of fighting with the best of them but also able to harvest and craft to my heart's content.

Is this just a free-version restriction? Will I, with a paid subscription, take on and complete all the missions on the island if I chose to before moving on to the ML?

Hi and welcome to Ryzom!

I had that problem first time on the starting island too. The problem is you can only have so many missions listed in your mission journal. It's really high number though and only become a problem if you don't press the finished botton on ones you've finished to clear them from it.
