what goods a buddy key if they cant download it anyone know where they can?

The idea is (I believe) that it's more intended for 'friend next door' situations, so you can lend them your discs.

Either that or it's a shallow attempt to get people to buy the retail box to keep the distributors happy

I think youre supposed to share your cd with the friends. As it says youre allowed to do so.

i think u need to give ur friend ur cd's to install it and give him the cd key from the email that u got

He could download the ATS client, and run the ryzom_recover thingy.. That normally changes the ATS client into a normal client.. (This is not an official way to do it, but it should work if there's no other way)

well its kinda annoying cos i agve my cds to a mate who got a key from another mate but another mate now wants to try it who lives a fair few miles away looks like its copy cd time

Hmm, i take it the old beta download isnt still available..which would put you close to the release version, within 2 builds i think.

Otherwise maybe a copy of pcgamer or similar still have the downloadable. Plug in a patch..

Or at a push, someone with a re writer could send you a copy of their patched game you would then have to creat an account....to use it.

I am very low on cash atm, otherwise i would volunteer to do this for you, i have loads of blank discs, but unfortunately, atm i cannot affrd stamps for job applications lets alone to send disks to someone. however i am sure someone else here could do this very easily..

Not sure if I should post this here or not!! but here goes..
The game is available for download through jolt.co.uk
But only if you live in a country where the game is not distributed?
So you need to use a proxy server coming from a such a country, you will charged as you would for a boxed version and jolts CC billing system doesnt care what country you put for your billing address
You will then get an e-mail with a download link and serial number.
You dont need to use the proxy to actually download the game.. just the purchase.

I think that changed lately, because i can access the purchase site now, i was not able to access the site some days ago... great news, i guess.
