Can I change my character name?

I know I can't change my login name, but is it possible to change my character name? The one I'm using now is not actually feeling appropriate, but I'm feeling unwilling to re-do the work I've already put in.

If there's a link, that will be sufficient, but I've searched the manual and the FAQ and not found a method, nor a statement that it can't be done.

While the FAQ says No, in rare instances, sending a ticke ingame to the CSR's can get you a 1 chance to change your name. Typicaly you must have a very good reason. Beyond that, the FAQ's no generaly stands.

(note btw I am going by the few names of people I have seen get changed, only 2 I have personaly seen change)

Only person I've seen change is because they co-incidentally called themselves "Arkkan" which is a little similar to a well-known NPC.
